We got a phone call. I hope that everyone in this division gets their phone call!!!!!!!!! She was told she had an hour, but we got about 20 minutes and then she suddenly had to go. I am grateful for what I did get though. Crossing my fingers for all of you now.
Yay!!!! It looks like we all got a phone call. Ours was 30 minutes and ended abruptly as well. She told us she is a "grad and go" but she will be in great lakes for A school. I guess I should start reading up on that. I hope everyone received a call..
Glad to hear you all were getting some phone calls...I hope to see you posting in the PIR room as well...I don't always remember to come in and check and see if you have questions and things we can help you with...don't isolate yourselves :)
We do post at both places but I think we should be able to post some stuff for our ship / division
I agree. If it's something everyone can benefit I post it both places. If I have some big question I'll ask. Otherwise, don't worry about us. We're just fine. And Yes, I got a phone call too. He said they finally got their marching down! Yippee! And my boy, so proud of keeping his rack up, let his bunkmate put his clothes away while he was doing his job and the shirt buttons were not buttoned. FAIL! He said it was a very, very good lesson. Double check someone else's work is to your standards too. Yea! I love to hear that he's learning and growing.
I want to thank you ladies for adding your news, questions, and info in the PIR site too! I appreciate it soo much! Yall are one big family with LOTS of kids! And you may never know who might be wondering about something that you will have the insite or answer or calming touch that will help them unless you are there. Remember, as your recruites are learning to work together as a Team - you all in the 01-07-2011 are a Team here to help and love each other and each others recruits!
We didn't get the phone call this week , but the gf did and she called to tell us what he had to say. It was all good. Received a letter today. Here's the gist of it: The hardest part is getting up at 5 a.m. and showering in 2 minutes. The best part is the food - lots of it, but not enough time to eat it all. It was 25 degrees last Saturday. He has made lots of friends, but no one from our area. So far, all of his letters have been upbeat and he seems to be doing well. Hope that's the same with everyone else.
Sending a special Hope You Are All Well greeting today to the mothers of those in Ship 12, Division 036. Let's hope our kids do well this coming week, enjoy the Marlinspike, learn a lot, gain some confidence and have the strength to pull together their division.
Let hope we get a phone call today that would put a end to a great weekend!!
No phone call, but it's Sunday so they should have written letters home. Something to look forward to!
If they can do it, we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there everyone.
Anyone get Adopt-A-Sailor letters for Christmas? The public affairs officer said PIR Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 will be eligible. I wonder if they hold it back if they aren't performing well enough? I suppose they could. If they mailed them today they won't arrive until Wed-Friday and are due back the 15th. Not much time, you know. I'm beside myself wanting to know if I get to spend Christmas Day with my boy.

That's right Suzi. This is preparing us for their navy tours, or careers, just as it's preparing them.
