For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Well, so far there's Suzi and I here. And somewhere should be Britt's mom.
Let's keep each other up to date. Nothnig to tell yet, but my son said I should watch for incoming mail around the 15th! that's Monday or Tuesday. Yea!

Hello New SR Wife,
I believe that your husband and my son are working together on the division flag. I received a letter from my son today explaining the flag in great detail and what all the images represent. Counting the days until PIR.

Hi Kelley, that is awesome. My husband wanted it to be a surprise so he didn't share much. Hopefully, they all survive this "hell week". My husband said that he's both mentally and physically tired and can't wait for graduation.

I got three letters last night. My son said they had three or four inspections and tests this week. He said still trouble with marching. He said he has gained respect for the chief. And he said brother division did a number on the head one day last week that took him a while to clean so he missed an important test. No word about how he made it up. And that's all folks.

Hi everyone, I know some of you are getting scarves from New Horizons and shirts from Ms Ampi and that is awesome. And some of you are getting scarves & shirts from them and ribbons from me lol. You can never show too much pride right? Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I am going to be mailing your ribbons next week. I want you to get them before Christmas that way we know you have them in time for your PIR. After you are finished wearing the ribbon as a pin you can take the pin off the back and put the ribbon in a scrapbook or shadow box. They make a great keepsake and are suitable for men and women. I hope you all are staying warm and having a great letter filled day :-) If you still need or want to order ribbons just send me a friend request or message. Thanks, Lala

OK. Got mail. Div. 306 has earned two flags, physical fitness asessment and zone. My son seems to think everyone is starting to work together really well and he said marching is getting better. And New SR Wife, no not Kevin. The K is that last name, sweetie.

So, my daughter has some friends in her division and I am wondering if the moms are here? Last names begin with, P, M, and B. I guess that is all I can really say on here, but if your daughter is in Div 036 and her name begins with any of these letters, friend me.

Hi all, got a letter from my husband today. He said that they survived "hell week." The div. also got a flag for their marching. They've been working hard and now finally able to work together as a team ;) Somehow, he managed to put a hole in his ski mask (they call it "robber mask") and had to sew it together...then he noticed that one of the buttons on this uniform was falling off so he had to sew that back on. When he was home, I did all of that for him even ironing his dress shirts/pants for work...now knowing that he's doing it all by himself, I'm so proud of him.

Isn't that neat, though. It's good for them to learn those things. Some of the people going to boot have never done anything for themselves. I think that makes it so much harder. My son may not have been mentally prepared for boot but he was somewhat prepared for adulthood. All three of my kids have done their own laundry since they could read and reach the buttons. They all know how to iron - with starch if necessary. They know how to clean the house. It was/is necessary for all of us to work together and speed clean on weekends for company because the week was/is filled with school, sports, church and homework. And I make them watch me cook sometimes. I'm a mean, mean mother, I'll tell you!

Oh yea, that is mean all right! LOL Just kidding. Teaching them these things keeps them from stinking and starving when they leave home. It is a hard job, but one of the most important parts of being a parent.
