Hey there. I just got on this site, my son got to GL the 14 th. We also got that 22:35 phone call. We are from Orlando area. Rude awakening for the Floridians!

Scrappy, Orlando is Home, We are in Tampa. Hope you are ok and welcome to this helpful site.

Just got my sons address for right now..Ship 2 Div 913.Stay tune we can share a lot of good news.

Yes!!! I finally got the address for right now..Jonathan is in Ship 2 Div 913. He is good and doing his thing!!

It was hard today to come from work and see nothing going on in the house..so much silence!!! thats the reality..This morning run to his bedroom and picture how it used to be...now Im thinking lets get ready for his next time off!!! So many memories...even to see his juice in the refrigerator makes think!! and miss him.

I went to YouTube....go to BootCamp graduation at GL...so much to see..looks like different Divisions get to graduate the same date!! so parents we have an assigment...lets get ready for PIR,,,,take notes, help each other and Im sure our "saylors" will get together !!!.

Hey Maria.  I laugh because I go to work, come home and find it exactly as I left it.  That is my "ugh" part.  We contacted his recruiter today and he said to call Monday for address.  We did receive the box today.  The dogs went crazy over his socks!  To have his phone and shades makes it more "real" but I continue to pray for him and all his ship mates.  I'm with you, we have our work cut out for us with our assignments but together we too can do great things!

Great, you have the box!!! Today I talked  with another parent that his saylor left the same day as mine. We all have the same feelings...first..we MISS them!! we want to talk to them and ask questions...at then we stop ...and support the desition they made!!!! I like to think I raised a good young man..... This is the first weekend I dont see his friends in and out of the house  and I have food in the refrigerator....Cant tell you how much I miss him but...Im very happy he did what he did. Lets wait for monday so we all can have a permanent address!!!

I will stay tune to the side  if they are any changes!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI Scrappy, I have not recieved his box....wonder how long it takes!!! Are you going to PIR...wish I can be there today!!!

Yes we will be there. Wrote a few letters so hope to get his address tomorrow. Strange weekend but we make it through. I hope your box makes it soon. It will make you smile

email your son/daughters recruiter.. I did mine and he just emailed me Joe's address.. Ship 9 Division 073

we'll get thru this together..

Thanks for the encouraging words. I have been on pins and needles waiting for the call, but

haven't heard anything yet. At least I know I am not the only one that hasn't heard anything.

The  "NOT KNOWING" what is going on is the worse!

I agree with you. It's really hard.... not knowing. I NEVER dreamed it would be this hard. I just need to know my child is OK. You know?? But, hopefully, soon we will hear form them.
