I received a letter yesterday from my son. It was dated Dec. 5. Last Tuesday they went to the Marlinspike for line handling. Dec. 2 they simulated fire and Dec. 3 the did LIVEFIRE. That all so far! He is not sure about BS he mention 18/19 but he will let me know in futures letter.
Rose, Thank you for the update. I am particularly interested in the date for Battle Stations because I think we get a call immediately after that. So if they do it on the 18th, we will get a call in the morning on the 19th, right?

Nina, Letters for us are slowing to a crawl, too. I think they are super busy right now, so I would not worry!
rose- thanks so much for the update! i like getting the specifics like that! :) i have a calendar full of his activities that he said on his letters.. :) so it makes me happy when i get it updated.

My husband's div 032, which is your brother division. In his letter dated 12/5, he said that battle stations was 14 days away, so I'm assuming that it's on the 19th. We'll see!

Thank you so much for the update. Z is not a writer at all LOL! I did get most of my questionaires back from him. :) I'm so excited about our trip! We are driving and seeing family along the way. I've never been to Chicago. I can't wait to see the base where they have been :)

This is my first time on the website...wished I had joined sooner! My son called last week and seemed down....but determined that he will make it through "whatever" the "team" issues were that have put them in Intense Training mode...no details. Are there any members out there that have a sailor flying into Sacramento after PIR? My son said he has two friends from Cali that are going to A school in Groton along with him. Anyone else going to the Meet N Greet on 12/21....would love to meet you all!

Welcome dodgedonna.....I don't understand clearly....correct me.....you are saying that your son is going to Sacramento or to Groton.  If is Groton...my son is going to Groton too.  He is coming back with us the 23rd and he is going there the 29th.  I wonder if your son and mine know each other. My son said he have a few friends that they know each other because they going to Groton to do the same job.  ET in submarines. Soon we have to join the group Groton Moms...I''m so happy for my son.

Sorry for the confusion.  Yes, my son is coming home with me to California after PIR and he mentioned flying back to A School in Groton with a few new friends in the Sacramento area.....sounds like they are friends....good to hear.  I look forward to meeting you and joing Groton Moms ;o)

Hi everyone,  finally got a letter today, it was dated the 12th.  He said they have been busy practicing & talking about graduation.  They are right on track for graduation, everyone is getting nervous the more they talk about it. He told me to expect a call on Monday with the news  " I'm a Sailor" so I assume they will do BStations  on Sunday right. It was a short letter but I'm glad I finally received one.  Have a great day!

nanny.....you are my heroe.  Thank you so much for share this wonderful news.  I waiting to see if I get a letter too. I will assume that yes they going to BS Saturday night.  Yupi!!!

Ladies....I'm so happy I receive a 3 pages letter with so many information.  I just laugh, he sound so mature, responsable talking about how he is saving money to pay us back for the tickets, of course I'm not going to accepted.  He brough the package A for me and extra pictures.  When my son write he do it as journal and the 12/11 he said that Monday was fire training, Tuesday gas chamber,  Wednesday inspection and Thursday PFA.  He said that BS is Sunday and it last 8 hours from 10 pm to 6 am.  He sound happy just want to come home to sleep and relax.
