Welcome Mika!!! It's a roller coaster ride, but it's a good one!!!
welcome! If your husband was Navy then you already have a clue as to what to expect, that's good. Be sure to join a DEP site & then when he goes to BC there will be a site for those who have the same PIR date, they will be very helpful. I don't know what it's like to be a Navy wife, but it is a wild roller coaster ride as a navy mom! When does he leave for boot camp?
Its been a little over 20 years since my husband was in the navy and I loved it!! I am so proud of my son I told him I want a Navy mom shirt. I found an old Navy wife sweatshirt last night LOL. He leaves Aug 9, 2011.
We are going to San Diego for a few days and we wee told we could get a tour of the base do you know if that is possible? My son says we can on his ID?
Thanks for the kind words! Happy Holidays!!
I've been through this once & am going through it again. #2 son leaves in May. It's really great to have these sites to understand what everyone is going through. I didn't sign up for any until last December, after my son had already re-enlisted. Which I had done this when #1 son was going through all of this - DEP, BC, etc. Would have made things a lot easier.
