Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

D sent me pictures of his room and the each have their own entertainment centers. D said one guy has a TV but that he is getting his own to play xbox. Can you imagine 3 TV's in one room! Sounds just like boys. But he did tell me that his roommate said he got his at nex for $200 and its a 22". D said that was good price. I will let you know what he says after he goes himself.

Hi Girls,
I am finally getting back to normal so now i have more time for the computer. I have missed you all.
I drove TJ to Pensacola, it was 6 hours one way. From the outside the Barracks looked nice, and the staff was very nice and friendly.He took his phone with him and was able to take pics of his room and is excited to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. My TJ said the NEX is awsome it is like Wal-mart, lol. It is so nice to be able to hear from him more often and chat about things as they happen.
I guess they wait to start classes until the 3rd so he has already said he is bored, lol, i am sure he won't be saying that before too long.
I am sure from this point we will be compiaining about the small fortune that we will be spending on postage for the packages to Pensacola as our boys request thier belongings.
Before TJ left for Bootcamp I told him to pack the important things so i didn't accidently toss the wrong stuff. Well, his keep pile was almost his whole room so we just cleaned it up and left it. So now we fast forward to a week ago and I was pleasently supprised at the things he said he didn't want or need any more and he was ok with passing them along to his little brothers ( Video games, Model cars, BB guns) Things he wouldn't think of parting with before. We sorted things together and i stopped at one moment and smiled at him with a tear in my eye. He looked at me and said "What" and I told him "you are finally growing up" and he replied "I am a Navy man now, mom, but I am always your boy". What a nice moment we had.

Hey ladies! Anyone have a son, daughter, or boyfriend who's an AE? Luke keeps talking about some of the guys he's hanging out with from his div at BC :) I'm glad he has friends in FL now..it let's me know he's not too lonely without me..
Also, has anyone heard about them getting orders after a school yet? Do they have to wait until they're all done until they find out where they'll be stationed? -

From what I understand they have to wait until there is a space open to start classes. Sometimes you can wait a few months before you start classes. This can sometimes be tough on them because most are anxious to start classes and they are hardly ever told that they will wait. I hope she doesn't have to wait too long! Just encourage her if she gets frustrated.

Oh wow she has been so fustrated because she doesnt know when she will start and she was hating. She gets bored sooo easy she is going to go crazy waiting
