Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son is leaving on January 10th as well. I am a rollercoaster of emotions. I have been crying the last two days so I know what you are going thru. I am a basketcase right now.

My husband just left yesterday the 6th. I've been worried ever since I said goodbye to him and about a week before. I just had a baby a week before he left so it makes it even harder. And I can't stop worrying about him even though I know he's going to do great.

I know how you are feeling because am right behind you my son leaves January 19 but as soon as i start reading what other people are writng, it helps it gives me something to look forward to and picks me up if i am down.

Im praying for you today as your son leaves. Remember he will get a 10 second phone call when he gets there. Just let him know you are proud and support him 100%. you will get all of his cloths in the mail a week later. and his grad info and address after 2 weeks. You will start getting mail after about 4 weeks. and Im still waiting for my first offical phone call. you will be fine. Write him alot of letters. My husband says it helps him stay motivated and keeps him going. Stay really busy!!! and time will fly by as if it were just another day. Good Luck!!!

Yea make sure he knows that. Make sure that he gets alot of letters in bootcamp. Good luck to you as well! Its so great to see moms behind their sons/daughters for such a big decision.

My husband left January 10th-shipped from Tampa! I'm so excited for him, but it is definitely tough to not have him around.
I'm happy to have found people that have kids/spouses there at the same time! Please add me to friends and feel free to keep in touch! :) We need just as much support as they do!!
