question.....does the whole division pass BS or isn't it "each" recruit has to pass BS? I saw that to on another post and I was wondering on that.
for sure! :)
I agree ladies those words will be so sweet to hear. now on another note, got a letter from my son today. he was having a bad day when he wrote this letter and I just want to cry. he said he really can not discribe how he is feeling right now his brithday sucked and febuary couldnt come any slower. he said they do the same thing over and over again and no body seems to work together. he really hopes Jan. goes by real fast. on a positive note he said some cool stuff he did something he didn't think he was going to be able to do, he treaded water for an hour holding a brick and in his words he said that was pretty impressive.
thank you to smichelle (I think it was) that suggested we send words of encouragement because I did that and mailed it just before this one came. REALLY REALLY PRAY we get a call tonight I am sure our sons could really use a call home right about now.
Oh no Pench......we know they will have these days and we want to be there to tell them its ok.....but we cant. I am sure it is taking awhile for everyone to get on the same page with BC but I am sure being away for birthday was really heart breaking for him.
THis is just a reminder that we need to always encourage them in every letter to keep their head up, its not forever and that it will all be worth it on 2/11/11. THey will have thier good days and thier bad days but getting our letters and cards have to be the best for them!
Be sure to tell your son that we all are praying for him and all of 804!
I got a letter!!!! he wrote this New Years Eve at 22:45.....
Not sure when he was going to get a call, seemed like never.
He is doing good overall and moving forward, a little slow but .... His knee is acting up and that is bothering him.
He misses home and being around everyone. He does not regret the Navy choice but BC is kind of boring at this point LOL.
He is ready to get out of BC and get started at Pre Buds, THey did the first dive test and it was all 106 of them, he said it was crazy,
He also wrote a letter to each sibling here at home and his dad. He told his sister to continue in ROTC and not to sweat the small stuff and to continue down her path and really wants to mentor her throught the military aspect. She is pursuing a career in the AF.
So I am hoping we get calls so I can talk to him and tell him to hang in there,,,, I think he needs to HEAR that!
He talked about some other things that were more general about home and that was about it...
I am wondering how he could say it was boring, maybe so routine and I am wondering if they have not started training other then the dive test, he said it was called the BeeHive? He really sounded worry about the knee, which is worrying me. He had Therapy on it before he left and they had him try new stretches and stuff but could not pinpoint anything specific.
Yes my son said did say they started with 106 and he thought they were down to 101? He did say a few were medical issues cause after the "in depth" physical they never came back.
The seal training was probably the "motivators" that my son was talking about.
