No letter today either. I think that layers are a good idea. You probably won't be outside for very long, so I wouldn't worry too much. I hoody sounds good and maybe a hat, scarf, pockets... Did you get any letters or phone calls.

I haven't gotten any letters yet, but then again I am not expecting to get one this week.. I was thinking maybe next week.  They are still early in the game I think.

Stace

My name is Elizabetth, sorry I didn't put that. :)

Thanks for letteing me know what to wear! :) it gives me a reason to go shopping. :P

No letters or calls yet. But i'm waiting by the mailbox.

:)

Bringing a swimsuite wouldn't be a bad idea! I think i'll do the same!

What hotel did you guys book?

My husband's parents got a double room at the Renaissance, or something with that kinda name. It's ridiculously expensive though, so I wouldn't recommend it. I'm terribly cheap, and it's not the choice I would have made.

Regretfully, I will still probably have to pay for it. Which means all the goods (and furniture) I need to buy for when I move across the country will be limited by another 337 bucks :(

Total for stay (per room) - 337.44 ---Off the receipt I got from my mother in law :( :( :( Not to mention the flight. I really hope she decides that I don't have to pay her back :(

We booked the same one. We got a room with 3 queen beds in it.. Only god knows why, but have they ever heard of husband and wife wanting a little privacy? I understand that he's there son, But I would like to have a couple hours to our selves.

And not to mention that they all snore, so i'm not gonna be getting much sleep.

My husband wrote me and said that he'll have liberty Feb 16th through the 22nd. I have no idea what this means. I was under the impression that the only liberty they get is the weekend after graduation. But I called my mother in law to let her know and she wants to return home the 20th. I really wanna stay if he really does have that time, but I don't want to say anything to her about it. I'd have to be paying for the hotel myself and worrying about transportstion. With me being 19 i'm not old enough to rent a car. And plus i'm a little on the broke side. i'm gonna be paying for the flight myself and that's like 250 roundtrip. I don't know what to do. I'd have no problem staying by myself.

Sounds like a sticky situation. Since you live in FL, it would be a really expensive trip home on a plane, you might want to look into flights one way now, or you'll spend close to 800 bucks on one later.

Yea the only problem with that is i'm flat broke. I got hurt on the my job and had to quit.

I was thinking I could just try to change my departure date to a lter one. Would they do that?

It would definitely cost you a pretty penny :(

I understand being broke though, believe me :P

I guess i'll just have to figure something out.

Did you get a letter today?

Negative. Nothing :(

But I might still get one today. As of yesterday, there was no mail in the mailbox. The mail comes really late though (in about an hour) and I don't think anyone will be over there. So I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if I got anything today :(

I got a letter today!!!!  Wooo HOO! Super excited. I guess they were able to write on Sunday night.

They were just starting week 1-2 the following day.  But they are acting like 3 weekers, since they have been there so long.  Commanders are telling them things that they wouldn't normally learn until week 2-3.

I guess Dallas is leading 70 people in drill, and that they are terrible at it!  :)  HA!  So they are working on that.

Aw. I got 3! I was so excited!!!!! I cried! :D I'm such a sap.
