Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

It's a great rate, expect her to be in school for 18-24 months between her A and C school programs. Don't hesitate to ask questions, we have all levels of experience here now.

My FC is Mike (Patches). He is still in Great Lakes waiting for orders. We had been looking forward all summer to seeing him on leave when he transitioned between GL and the next station and now he says he may be on hold waiting for orders for months. Christmas is a long time to wait.

Deb, has he finished A school and is waiting for his C school orders? I bet he will get orders soon as I think the C schools will have new classes beginning before the holidays. We'll keep our fingers crossed for him, sitting around GL after finishing A school is not that exciting for them and they are so anxious to start the next stage of their careers.

Seems like Patrick had to leave right after Christmas to report to San Diego and received a tour of the USS Bonhomme on his birthday, January 2nd after he got there.

My son Mike , PIR on 2-18 . He is an FC and on hold @ G.L. for what he said could be up to 2 months. What will he be doing in the meantime??

They keep them busy, PT, drill, duty, most are given work during the day, some are assigned to help in an office, and there's a lot of cleaning going on.

They continue to stand duty while in A school, and throughout their time in the Navy. Four days is a normal rotation for duty sections, but it can vary a lot by the needs of the command they are at.

My husband got C school orders for Dam Neck. Has to report by 6/4/11. We are leaving the end of May. Anyone else have orders for Dam Neck? Or, are currently stationed there? We are taking a trip down there on 3-15 to 3-20, to check out houses and schools.
