Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yesterday was rough but we had a wonderful week and weekend with her. She didn't get much sleep last night because of nerves. She is at MEPS ,here in Houston, this morning then will be flying out to GL this afternoon. Looking to meet other mom's for support and guidance.

Happy New Year everyone....I got the letter with the date of Feb 18th....My son's recruiter said they only graduate on Fridays....So i guess i can book a flight and look into a hotel....Does anyone have any suggestions on that i have never been on a plane....Also he left 3 weeks ago and he has not called me since he arrived on the 13th...He said he would call in 2 weeks and his friends who left the same day has gotten to make calls since the 20th  : /   Go figure.....They are in different divisions....Has anyone else not heard from their child yet....It's really not a good feeling I keep having nightmares about it
Good Morning to you.....So i am sooo excited i got to talk to my son for 10 minutes Saturday...He said that he Loves Boot camp that it is soooo easy, he doesn't like the marching so much but they have great food they get 8 hours of sleep a night and that he has put on 10 lbs in 3 weeks...He also said they keep him soooo busy that he doesn't have time to miss us except on the weekends...He gets to call again today...I put the phone up to my 3 month old grandaughters ear so her uncle could talk to her and she yelled really loud at him..It made his day...It is such a relief to know that he is doing sooo well...I cried for like an hour i was sooo happy....Happy Tuesday to you Moms : )
