This is the final test for your recruits.  When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During the 12 hour overnight drill, they encounter every situation that they might face when deployed on a ship.  It is a night of adrenaline and focus.

Up to 4 divisions can go at once, but sometimes only 2 or 3 go.  Brother divisions go together.  800 and 900 divisions go randomly.  They start with the lowest numbered divisions and move up.  They can start on the Thursday night, a week before PIR.  They skip Fri and Sat nights because of Captains Cup on Saturday (athletic competition between divisions...fun for them!).  They can resume BattleStations Sun-Wed nights during PIR week. Something a Chief said about Battlestations:

150-300 SRs go at a time, 3-10 of them will fail and have to repeat it, the most important thing is TEAMWORK. If the SRs keep their mouths shut, listen, and work as a team, they should pass.

The brother divisions in this PIR group are:

63+64, 65+66, 67+68, 69+70, 71+72, 73+74

804

912

"I'm a Sailor" phone calls will start to come in the day they finish, usually starting around 2 pm GL time and going into the evening.  They may need to complete PIR practice first so be patient.  Some may have watch and won't call until the next day.

When you get a BattleStations date from your recruit, post it here and I will add it to the schedule.

HOOYAH!

*****BattleStations Schedule******(they start late at night and continue through the next morning which is why there are 2 dates posted)

tackyjacky:  I'm thinking that 63 and 64 may be going with 804 on that first night.  That is a GOOD thing...they get it over with early.  Post when you hear!
as i said earlier, my SR (ship04dvi804) said that he was feb 3. but i am going to write him today and see if he can confirm that! boy that is going to be a rough couple of days! It does sound like my SR is looking forward to that, I don't know if it is because that means it is the end of BC or if he is excited for the action! Maybe both :).
I am so stooked about this battle stations in just 22 more days then 6 days later we see our BOYS!!! ooohhh yaaahh
Dang!! I wish mine would call so I would know.....it's so exciting!!

Dont forget to light those Blue Candles for BS!

As the "for sure" dates are confirmed, I will light my candle for each one of your Divisions as I know we are one NAVY family and one PIR group!

Wow! This is becoming all too real! My SR said in one of her letters that it is all starting to sink in for her that it is real, now I understand!! I just got really excited after reading dianneps post! HOOYAH!
See? I told you, Lexsmom.  There is a "turnaround" for these recruits by about week 4 of bootcamp.  This is the building back up process now...which is much more positive than the breakdown process, of course.  You will hear much more positive from the recruits now...because they are almost there!
Please remind me about the Blue Candles?  I think I missed something.. Sorry.
