okay I have to admit it PM is private message or my email address is: freak0105@hotmail.com. That way none of the RDC can get any information from us.
I see you changed your pic. It kinda threw me off for a minute.
Got our call from our recruit on Thursday also. It was great to hear his voice eventhough it was raspy and he was coughing. Have to expect that when living in a petri dish with several other guys.
Our recruit states that life is good as long as you listen and follow instructions. It's amazing how many SR can not keep their mouts shut and follow the line. Like they are trying to get everyone into trouble. At this rate he mentioned everyonewill have a nice 6 pack at graduation. But this is life and hoping others will learn by example.
The food is great and has learned to love orangesnow. Does not mind drinking water and has never ate his good befroe. When he worked at boy scout camp he raved about the food there but this is even better.
He had met many good firends and has a great division. He mentioned that it is such a honor to be in this division but at times the pressure of doing well can get to you. Just have to relax and enjoy.
Asking for more letters to be ent. It's the only contact from home and helps to make the nights and days go by faster when mail call comes.
Looking for a mom of SR who lives near Richmond Virginia and the mother ofthe SR who played football or was a professional sports player. Would like to hear from you and talk.
Hello, My son is in that division also, said mostly the same things that you son has mention, gets upset because the other sr will not follow orders very well.
Also loves the food, my sr would not eat breakfast , now he is :)
We are from Peru, Maine
When I asked my son about the division and I asked him to rate on a scale of 1-10 how things are going he gave it a 6. He said there are those also that are not "getting" it. They are doing stupid things like wearing the dogtags on the outside of their uniforms and talking when they aren't suppose to be. Several guys even took it as far as sleeping in their uniforms. Not a good thing because that was the night that they had individual inspection. They found these SR sleeping in uniforms as well as some SR had letters underneath the mattresses.
We live in McHenry Illinois which is about 25 miles from GL.
My SR has a job finally!!!! I got a call around 1030am GL time for some "clearance" stuff from him and he was able to tell me that he didn't get the Hospital Corpsman job because it was full, but he got to go back today and he got the job at the top of his list. He will be doing CTN. For those that don't know what that is it is Computer Networking. He will be leaving 2/15 for A School at Pensicola Florida for several months. What a relief he was able to call. I was up all night just thinking about him. God answered my prayers. I also got a letter to today. So ame7 you will be getting yours Thursday and Lexsmom will get hers tomorrow.
My SR was telling me that two SR in his division were caught shoving each other not sure what happened he said, but they had to go "Around The World". They had to go to every RDC and get IT'd. They came back and were told that they had 30 seconds to strip their bunk. 8 shipmates started to help them which is a no no, only your bunkmate can help so they got IT'd for that too.
He is eating good and always full. At PIR he gets to hold the big wooden door for all the "important people".
Their division got a flag for having the highest division test scores in the entire graduation group. He got 4 more uniforms last week which = more ironing. They also have been practicing turning over their weapons.
Hello! I'm still here. I've been busy and haven't had a chance to join in on the conversations. My SR has sent a couple of letters. I was kind suprise at the length because he is not much of a writer. My letters sound like ya'll's too. Haha "ya'll's" can you tell where I'm from?!!!
I so loved hearing from him on 1/6. He sounded great and even more grown up, not his usually "goofy" self. His having fun and likes the other SR's in his unit.
Himmiemom I'll PM and or find you on FB soon.
