My son leaves January 4th for boot camp. Anyone else out there leaving then?

My son leaves for boot camp on January 4th, 2011, which is just a week away.  Anyone else out there have a son/daughter leaving this day?  He will be leaving out of Houston and I know it's gonna be so cold in Great Lakes.  He thinks he is ready, but I think he is in store for a surprise and it's not gonna be a hot one!  lol   I'm excited for him, but so nervous!

Hi there, I'm new here on N4M, this is my first action of anything... anyway, the recruits keep their glasses just in case. They will get RTC-issued glasses as well. Sometimes they have issues or delays, in that case they still need a pair. Also, some RDC's let the recruits wear their normal glasses for photos and graduation....Some, however, make them wear the stupid ones :(
haha that did not end up where I thought it would..... Anyway, for whoever is reading... My husband is in DIV 916  :)
My boyfriend is in the same DIV :)

Thank you, I was wondering what could have happened.

I just received my two letters from my boys. Ship 2 div 915.

I still haven't received any letters yet .  I went to the recruiting office today and it was closed.  I will try again Monday.

My son left officially on 1/4/11,last time I saw him was 1/3/11,and this site has made it so much easier to deal with. I was such a mess last week, crying every day,I still tear up,but am better able to control myself, the Ladies here are awesome!
Jean H, hang in there! I'll be praying for you! I just got my sons form letter yesterday. Hopefully you will get it tomorrow.
