Hey there ladies,, question.. are any of you staying at the Sleep Inn or flying into Mid on Thursday?

I am flying into Midway on Thursday, but not staying at the Sleep Inn.

We haven't made our flight plans yet... or hotel either... I just Knew we'd receive a letter today from our recruit in this Div., but the mailman only had bills & junkmail for me; I hope our son wrote us a letter last Sunday--- even if his handwriting is sooo difficult to read! lol!!   I can 'decipher' most of his words!  (His older sister told me she Guesses on many of his words! Ha ha!) ... Can you Believe that BC is now half-over for our Boys??!--- maybe they can finally see 'the Light at the end of the tunnel'!  I hope their Spirit is staying high so they do well on all their tests... my son hasn't really told me what they're being tested over every week... does anyone here know??

Well, here's wishing all of you Lotsa Mail & maybe a phone call soon!   =)

We have been getting mail every week from our son. Sounds like things are going good for him as well as the division. We got a phone call a week ago, and he sounded very upbeat and is getting excited for graduation. Hoping we get another phone call soon, but that one call made me feel so much better!! Did you get a call yet? I was not sure if everyone was getting calls, because I haven't seen anyone posting about them. I hope everyone has received a call by now.
We finally made our flight plans with Southwest into Midway airport; 4 of us should get there a little after 5:00 pm, unless there are delays... We are staying at Residence Inn in Waukegan; I think my husband forgot to ask for the PIR discount for that, but he said he had 2 women waiting & staring at him by the computer & he felt rushed! (me & our son's g.f.---- Ha ha!!)  We felt much better afterwards, like we were one step closer toward seeing our future Sailor!--- Just hope his Grad.date doesn't change now.  I also hope we get a letter soon, as we didn't get one last week!
I have the pane tickets, the hotel, now I just need to get a rent a car! I am getting so excited for GL's not too much longer now! I am staying at the Residence Inn too. Are you going to the meet & greet when you get in? I am Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi--- which Meet & Greet are you going to, Ramada's or Anastasias"s?  I haven't put in our Reserv. to either yet... we won't get into the airport till after 5:00 pm. sometime--- then we need to pick up our car at the rental place... Yes, I'm getting more excited now that we booked our flight & hotel reserv.--- I can finally see the Light at the end of the Tunnel!   Do you know if the Residence has a shuttle for Grad. or not? I figure they do, but not sure---

Have a great day!  Hope you get some Mail today--- I Need a letter from my son... been too long!!     =)

Hi TX, I did not know therer was a meet and greet at the Ramada. I am not sure now! I replied to the Anastasia's get together, so I guess I will be going there. :) Yes, the Residence Inn has a shuttle to Grad, you just need to let them know the night before so they can reserve it for you. Not too much longer now!! Whoo Hooo!

I put down a 'maybe' for Anast., instead of Ramada, since I don't know if we'll get there early enough or not. We rented a car, but wonder if it's better to use the Shuttle for Grad, instead of a car... don't know how far we'd have to Park a car--- I am Not used to Frigid Weather, Ha ha!!!
I have started a locked facebook group for Navy RTC PIR 2/11/11. So we can get to know each other and have a private place to chat. The content is locked and only members will be able to view it. HOOYAH!
I'm on Facebook... where do we find it at ??
Just search for NAVY RTC PIR 2/11/11 and you will find it .  I haven't figured out how to post the link to it.  Just request to join and  I will add you.  Let me know if you have any trouble finding it.  I think we are up to about 22 members and we even have a few dads that have joined.
