use scotch tape on the ends. then cut in between the tape for the fringe. works great and makes the fringe the right size and perfectly spaced.
Bought my gold fleece tonight at Hobby Lobby and bought purple ribbon to put down the middle.  I had bought some iron on tape from Wal Mart a while back and i used that to adhere the ribbon to the fleece.  Turned out really pretty.  Also did the fringe on the ends.  Bought only 1 yard of fleece and was able to get 4 scarves out of it and only spent a total of $12.  We also bought the clear buttons that you can put a picture in.  I believe there were 12 of them for $5.00.  We took pictures of us with our SR at the MEPS building the day he swore in in front of the Navy Placque so we are going to put those in the buttons and attach them to our scarves.  Can't wait to see all of the other creative scarves.  GO NAVY!!
great idea laina!! Can't wait to see everyone in the scarves at PIR!!
Yes great idea!    Can you post a pic?
I will certainly post a pic as soon as I get one...

I may have missed it, but is there a pattern online for the fleece scarf?

I may end up knitting, I haven't decided.

ok nevermind. I used my friend Google and found a pattern myself :)

Hi Missy,,, did you see your divisions color to add to the yellow?

thanks for the pattern link also!

yes... Brown!
Are the scarfes solid in color?
Yellow and your division color or whatever works for you!
Ok, so I have a question. It's just a thought, but I found a scarf online I like that is light yellow. I love the idea but don't really want to do the stripe on in. Would it be possible to put jewels or small pieces of fabric or even a light blue pin on it? If you guys think it's too different, just let me know and I will just be a good girl and go with the stripe!!
