Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR.  This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going through the same experience that you will be for the upcoming months.

I see so far of the people that we know, there is out of our PIR group 1 ET, 1 EM and 1 MM heading to Goose Creek.
my daughter heads to Lackland AFB TX on Saturday for MA training
My son is also headed to San Antonio for MA training. He said he's leaving Feb 2nd. There is a N4M site at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/sanantoniomasatthu
my hubby doesnt have a rate yet he have to choose once he get on the fleet hes picking between BM (boatwain mate) or DC (damage control) but he will be staying in GL for A school but only for 11days then he comes home for 14days before he goes his first duty station which is in san diego

Penny & Sandy, my son will at Goose Creek also, Nuclear ET (Electronics Technician). We live about 100 miles from Goose Creek and we are looking forward to having him close to home for a while.

My son will be staying in GL for A school. He is doing GSM and said it will last for 10 weeks and then he gets a 14 day leave.
My daughter is leaving for Pensacola, FL on 01/29; ABE - so far she said will complete training on 02/24
My son leaves to Groton, CT Saturday Morning for Submarine School..  Sonar Tech
My daughter will be staying in GL for A school. She will be training to be a GSM (Gas Turbine Specialist). She has to report by 1/31, so we are hoping she has overnight liberty. She is unsure right now.
Fawn my son is also staying in GL for GSM training and as far as I know he should have overnight liberty. They have to move out right after PIR to A school and then they are supposed to be able to stay the weekend and return at 8 p.m. on Sunday. I sure hope that doesn't change.
My son says the same thing. He said today that it he would be briefed about those details after he was processed in across the street. It is my understanding that this happens right after graduation. I am so hoping for overnight liberty!!!
My daughter's rating is ABE, and is leaving for Pensacola, Fl. early 01/29 for A school......where she can finally defrost!
