OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

hey ladies....havent been on in a while...and reading your strings. alittle nervous to hear that people are getting doing what they need to or that they are not working as a team. my sailor hasnt told me any bad things, i guess he is trying to keep it positive and not have us worry. i think i may ask his girlfriend and see if she knows anything. I hope they do not push PIR back, plane tickets are purchased...UGGHHH...the stress. Bad enough we are all worried about there state of mind and now the other added things. My hair cannot get any grayer, my hair dye will not take anymore..lol

Lilu..my father inlaw tried to figure what week of training they are in...we cannot figure it out. too many holidays were in the mix of their training.

isone: from what I read from all the divisions, ours is not unique with a few that are not quite with the program. I don't think we have to worry if they have made it this far. Gary told me that they started out with 88 in our division and they are down to 67. I think this is common so I don't think there is anything to worry about (I know, easier said than done). I hope they aren't sent back, I've already purchased my plane ticket.

I don't think anybody outside of having a loved one joining the military for the first time and being away like our loved ones are can understand the rollercoaster of emotions that we are going through. I don't want to set off any water works but I don't feel like I can share this with anyone else but you guys. I heard this beautiful song a few days ago (Little Big Town "Kiss Goodbye") and it was so heartwarming the way it made me feel about my 19 year old boy being away, growing up and becoming a man! When you have a chance and can listen to the words, I hope all of you can relate this somehow to your loved one and that it touches and eases your heart the way it did mine.
Thanx for letting me babble on...... it helps to talk about it.

Got another letter today, more chatty, more sense of humor showing thru. Wants me to stay the whole time...thur-mon nite,
thought he might want to have some time to himself to get settled in, but wants me to come as long as can. I am so proud of him. What did people do before the internet???just go to pieces lol lol like we havnt been doing that a time or two lol

I got a letter today...like newnavymom, letter was more upbeat and he seemed really positive. my sailor told us in this letter he is leaving on 2/22. Kinda of upset, we have to leave sunday nite...but at least i took the last flight out. i cannot wait to see him...does anyone know how the tickets worked. he was asking me to find out...lol. sometimes things dont change.
