Thought it would be great to learn where everybody's sailor is heading to after PIR.  This can be a great way to open new conversations at the M&G and also make new friends that will be going through the same experience that you will be for the upcoming months.

My son will most likely be on the same flight.  He is very happy to be going to Florida. Do you know what time they are leaving?  I have not spoke to him this weekend.  He is in 055.
Hi Hawkeye Mom, daughter said it's going to be around 1 0r 2am? Still not sure, and the RDC's have not gotten their final orders yet. I will follow up with that question to her when she calls me Monday. Hopefully, she will know more. I will let you know if I hear anything! See you at the airport! :)
Hey guys! The final orders should come through tomorrow Tuesday with the flight information as well!
Alisha- are you going to go sit at the airport with your daughter if able?  I am thinking I will go sit with my son if it works out.  If our kids are on the same flight this would give us all some time to chat a bit if they have a wait before their flight.
My son is off to Port Hueneme, California (just north of LA). He’s a CM - Seabee. :)
My SR will be heading to Groton, CT for sub school.  Not sure when he will be leaving or if we will  be able to just bring him with us for the drive home.
Oh, wouldn't that be so nice to be able to drive home with him.  I doubt they will allow that but one sure can dream!!!
My boyfriend is heading to Fort Meade Maryland to be an MC
My son is spec ops and will be training to be an Air Rescue Swimmer.  He leaves Saturday morning to Pensacola, Fl.  His A school will be a little over a year long.
Emily - that sounds really exciting !  The year plus in FL will go by quickly I bet!
momof5- he is excited about his job.  He has been a swimmer all his life, and this job really fits him well.  Plus, I am excited to go visit him Florida  :)  And I know he is looking forward to going some where a little warmer than IL.   :)  We are from Arizona, so I am sure he is ready to thaw out a bit.  hehehe
How true!!!!!!  HOW EXCITING TOO!!!!!
