51 signed up for dinner on Thursday, April 24th - Will you be joining us?

6 days to go ladies!!! Have you let me know how many seats to save for your family for dinner on Thursday night?

I have reserved a room for dinner on Thursday evening, April 24th @ 7 pm at the Full Moon Restaurant which is just down the street from the base. We will need to tighten up our head count on Monday.

We won't be able to see our sons and daughters until graduation itself so this will be our chance to get together and celebrate for them. Husbands, grandparents, girlfriends, children, etc. are all welcome to join in.

The website for the restaurant is - www.fullmoonopen24hours.com

If you would like to join us for dinner, please posted your name and head count with your ship and division # on this forum and I will try to keep a running total to submit to the restaurant the week before. We are hoping to make name tags (no promises) by screen name and division so everyone will know they have been chatting with.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

I also wish I was coming to your grad Mary.
Lynn Dear is one of my closest Navy moms here, And I think a lot of it is because when you meet you also now bond in another way. I feel that Wade ( who BTW is such a cutie ) Is now one of my own navy boys I get to watch grow in this adventure.
Everyone Please do this dinner if you can, It is a great experiance to be able to bond with these wonderful people who have been with you on this site.
And Mary : Hurry up and get over to the A school forum, I am missing you !!!! LOL
Believe me Molly - I'm counting the days until I can join you!
Hey Mary and the group...
Newbee here...
My group and I will be there. 4 in all, Keith (Aaron's best friend), Heather (girlfriend), Paul (dad), and myself.
Looking forward to meeting everyone. My son, Aaron is in Div163 Ship14. I'm so excited to see the lad...
Wonderful Margie, I'll put you down for 4 seats. I know what you are saying the next few weeks are going to be so difficult to get thru as we are all excited to see our sailors and we thought the first few weeks were hard!!!
Hi Mary
Made Reservations last night - we will be there!! Kayleigh's Dad should be joining us so there will be 4 of us!! I wanted to confirm. I look forward to meeting everyone - I am so excited - who would have thought a trip to Illonois could generate this level of excitement. lol
Oh in case you need it Kayleigh is div 164 ship 14
will post again soon
It's so great to hear how all the recruits are doing through everyones letters. What a gold mine. I can't wait to meet ya'll. The 1st couple weeks were hard, now it's the excitement!!!! Thanks for adding us.
I have to laugh and share this, I hope every one gets the rite message from it, it is ment in fun. My Stephen has forbidden his sisters to send any photos of themselves to him when he is in bc. He say they are Not going to be penpals with any recruits he is with and he is not going to share them with his guys. Now I am a biased mom and know that my daughters (15 16) are the most beautiful girls inthe world, but never knew Steve was that protective of them.
Thanks for the welcome...
It seems, no matter where I go in here I find more info. That you tube video on boot camp was incredible. Sure gave a new insight on what's going on and what they're looking for.
Betty~ Your daughter seems to be the only one on here from the same Div & Ship as Aaron. I can't seem to find her name anywhere. I may have missed it. She sounds like a lil firecracker with a another one hot in her tracks. Getting through this she must be a tuff gal. Tell me her name if you don't mind. Thanks...
Marjie,

My daughters name is Ashley Williams. I was reading your reply, and seen you were saying something about something on you tube, can you tell me what it is.. I would love to go look at it.. I have to say, I am really looking forward to seeing other parents and sitting down to dinner and just chatting about our times apart from our kids, and just getting to meet everyone. This site has been a wonderful thing for me. I never had anything like this when my son was in bootcamp. and that was the hardest time.. this time, it seems to be easier, because I actually see other parents feelings, and I dont feel like I am going thru this alone, as a mother ...
Betty
I don't think I would get through any of the emotional impact of all this if it wasn't for these amazing ladies. Go to you tube and enter "navy boot camp" there is a 2 part video that really gives you an idea of what our babies are experiencing- if it's possible it may make you even prouder of them. There is also some cool graduation footage to check out too. Have a great day:)
18 more days until we meet! I am on the edge of my seat. I am excited to see Bryan, but I cannot wait to eat dinner with you guys!
I love being on the downward slope!! I hope everyone is emailing me there plans to join us for dinner at the Full Moon - I want to make sure the restaurant is ready!!
