For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

HELP!!!!!!!!!! got a letter from my son it was dated sunday the 23rd. he has been sick said he got sick after they went to chow and had thrown up 8 times, and the thing that worried me was he said PST was going to be the next day (Monday I thought it was last Friday) and as mamawalrus stated they had figherfighting and damage control this week as well. so he couldnt go to medical or he would be pushed back. MY QUESTION IS THIS, I think I am pretty sure I read it someplace but IF he did not pass his last PST they would have had him call home right? because for his job that is a required test to pass. please tell me yes so I can chill out. seeing how it is Wed. and no call then no call is good right??????? I reasured his girlfriend of this when I talked to her now I need you to reasure me :)

OK deep breath!!!! Today is done for them and no news IS GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!! He either felt better OR he toughed it out and did it! No other options RIGHT!!!!!! So yes he is good!!!!!!! SUnday was a long time ago on their time scale, remember that.
I wonder if he ate something bad or just got a bug? I hope it was what he ate so he got rid of it with all that throwing up! Poor guy had to be miserable. Do they RCT's see that and have them checked out or can they go the to the head in peace without permission?

I just love you guys BIG BIG HUG TO YOU ALL!!!! I kept telling myself that and anyone who would listen that he would have to call lol. I just feel so bad for him so glad he takes after his dad (step dad but to him it is dad) he taught him not to sweat the little things and you can't give up you gotta keep going. you get hurt if it isnt close to your heart then it aint gonna kill yea lolol. can not wait to meet you all in 14 more days YAY

oh my goodness girls, I know that I am so excited to see my SR and prouder than a peacock in heat! But I think that I am just as excited to meet you all! You have been the most awesome group of moms that I have ever met! You are the only ones who I talk to about most things going on at GL as my friends and even family don't understand! Thank you Thank you for making this rollercoaster ride one that I am not throwing up on with each dive!!!!

ooohhyah on that. 14 more days ladies that is just two weeks from today we will be eating at the M&G and preparing to cry our eyes out the next day as we so proudly sit together united by this site and our boys watching them work together showing us how far they have come. so full of pride for the accomplishments of our sons, nervious about the road ahead, yet through it all no matter what is to come we know we have each other to lean on. WE ARE NAVY STRONG!!! WE ARE DIVISION 804 STRONG and most importantly we are MOM STRONG... have a great day ladies just one more Thursday till we meet in person.

Ok I didnt plan on my eyes getting watery so early on a Thursday morning.. but imagining them marching in, hearing the music play and seeing the joy on EVERYONES face as they look for their sailor is so exciting and overwhelming. I know the knot I feel in my stomach even thinking that so I cant imagine how it will "really" feel when we get there!
We will be there for each other in 804, through thick and thin.

Hi all - just checking in before I head to the dentist and then to work. We'll be on the road in 2 weeks heading to GL and the M&G and then on to PIR and the BIGGEST and BEST HUG IN THE WORLD!!!!! Our son has mom, dad, sister, and gf on list and keeps asking if she is coming (lives in another state now). No word from any of us. She is actually here with us now, hanging with SR's sister and will be with us on the trip. We have let him know that one of his 3 brothers is planning to come. Don't wear tops with buttons - they'll pop off when they come marching in! LOL (We've gone through this with sons in the fire department, Army, and Marine Corps.) Baby brother is going to top them all! (Inside family joke about one-upmanship in a family of competitors but seriously, brothers could not be happier for each other). Life is GREAT!
SR wrote a really sweet letter to his grandmother that she shared with me yesterday. Can't wait to give him a hug for the joy he gave her with that note.
Enjoy the day - only 14 more "sleeps" until we get to hug our sailors!
