Hello All and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hadn't seen a group formed yet for our ship, so I thought I would start one (Ship 02, Div 911 - USS Reuben James (PIR Feb 4, 2011)) so we all can be in touch! We have a special connection with band, choir, and drill team!  It will be great to share our experiences, stories and plans to meet up for PIR in Feb!  I'm a new Navy mom, and missing my daughter greatly right about now (as I am sure we all are missing our loved ones!), but am so very proud.  Let's chat!

Good morning shipmates! Well, here we are with 6 days to go. At the beginning with that clock at 50 something days, I didn't know how I was going to make it. We've shared laughter, tears and pride and finally get to share that with our SR's VERY soon. I am very much looking forward to not only PIR and seeing my son, but also giving a hug to the women of 911. I hope you all have a great weekend! Love, hugs and blessings to all!

Robyn

Awwww, Robyn!!!  You went and done it now... the one thing I've read today (at 4:50 PM West Coast time) that brought tears to my eyes!  (I guess all the other posts were building me up for this one ... LOL!  I don't know where they came from!  ;o)  I feel such a sense of camaraderie/friendship with you gals already!  I can't wait to meet everyone face-to-face!  AND ... I surely hope we can keep in touch afterwards!
