Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

have you looked at the clock this morning YAY!!!!!! 10 more days and we are on our way. mamawalrus if you still need a scarf holler I will go back to Stein mart today and get them for you. I think they only had one yellow left but I will fight for it lol. have a amazing day ladies and get those candles ready just 3 more days till ou boys are doing battle stations

maybe you can make a deal with her... IF you miss the call cause of labor she has to name the baby "Sailor" hahahahhahaha

ot letter today,  total surprise!  He wrote on the 25th and 27th 

He said he got tons of mail at once all from the week before.. ??? 

He thought he had a hernia,,, it has been bothering him,,,he talked to an instructor and he told my son maybe he pulled static (sp) nerve. I dont know anything about that,,, anyone else have an idea? he is worried it does not affect him for BS.... He already did firefighting and gas chamber, said some weird classes for BS (dont know what that means) Said gas chamber was "interesting". (what does that mean, details son! LOL)

He said this would probably be his last letter home,, he felt mixed about that,, happy and sad at the same time. He said he would be calling us Friday  ;)))))))))

Letters letters letters!!! :O) The highlight of my day!
glad some of you got letters today, mamawalrus don't you just love the tid bits of info they give us lol. I am so ready to go now , I checked on our room checked on the rental printed out the parking pass (plan on taking shuttle but just in case) now it is time to wash and fold cloths to bring for my son and gather up all his stuff he wants in the locker for when he can get them. say a prayer for his best friend he is having a rough time because he will not be able to attend PIR due to college ROTC stuff. he said he feels like he is here alone. him and my son are the best of friends and I charish there friendship so much. I will have to make sure my son calls him as soon as he can after PIR. (after I pull him away from his girlfriend lololol) tomorrow we start on single digits ladies can you believe it.
YEA for the letter, none for me though, get the chills everytime I  read how close we are! The days went by so slow but the weeks seem to have flown, is that possible? I am so nervous for the PIR 2/4 group though, I can't even imagine what they are going through...
803 went last night... they should be done now and getting SAILOR caps!   OMG I could cry thinking of our boys standing there and getting those hats and taking off the recruit ones!!!!   So wonderful we are this week and dont have to wait till next week!
that is a awesome thought Recruit to Sailor... you know they are so ready for it. I can hardly wait for that call Friday. anyone with sons in 803 let us know when you get that call so we can know for Friday lol. and pre congradulations to you and your sons in 803
