Mine has been e-mailing me for the past 2 days. They're being kept VERY busy, and the weather is bad, so I guess it's been hard to do anything fun. He said, "I work, watch eat, sleep and repeat. In that order."
I heard from my son on 1-22.  He said that they were really busy and that he was OK. He said that he hopes to call when they get to a port but didn't say when that would happen.  I hope I hear back from him again soon.
I received a few emails last week.  He said the internet was down most of the time.   I haven't heard anything this week.  My sailor also said he was extremely busy.

I heard from one of my daughter's friends on Jan. 25th.  My daughter used to send emails to me at my place of work and that is where I receive emails from her friend Charles as well.  Kristine states that sometimes she would try to send an email to my personal email account and get a message that it was an "unauthorized address."  She would then try to send it to me at my work and it would go through.  Can't explain why...........

They do shut down communications at times, but Kristine says she has been hearing from people on the Shoup almost every day since Jan. 24th.

The sad thing is they closed down Facebook on the Shoup.  It used to be nice to keep up with them on Facebook.

Haven't heard from my son in about 10 days. He too said they've been very busy. Hope to hear from him soon! Sure miss hearing his voice.
Kristine says she had a friend on the Shoup named Sean.  I think she said his last name is Selph or something like that.  We found a picture of him with one of the guns on Goggle alert and then Navy News.
