Hi; my son's recruiter gave us Ship 11 Div 115 but I haven't gotten the formal letter yet.  We have started writing and hopefully they will start getting our letters.  My son left on 1/31.
@ reggie11209 you probably have the right ship/division then, my son left 1/31 as well.
Just found out tonight my son is ship 11, division 115!
Yayyyy!! Its good to see you guys!! Mine left Jan 31st too!! I've been on here foreeeever so its nice to finally have a group lol.. We did DEP for 9 months!! Ugh.. You are all going to Chicago...?
I'm definately going.  His two brothers and their girlfriends are coming as well.  Not sure about his dad, he has not been very supportive.
Definitely going to PIR. We were DEP just about as long as you. The other board I'm on with some more of us is on the Boot Camp Moms..there are a few others with sons/daughters in Ship 11. Just got the box home yesterday. I guess the formal letter should follow pretty soon. Week old sneakers in a box do not smell good...stand away from the box...lol
Lol i know!! He was going to try to not send home the box as his recruiter had said he could just wear old clothes and donate them but he ended up sending one anyways.. What really sucked was we didnt know they could bring cell phones and send them home we were worried theyd just make them throw them away so he didnt get to call us after we left him at the hotel- he DID get to use the hotel computer lab though to talk to us via facebook so that was something lol :/ ugh I miss him- only 7 more weeks though!! WE CAN DO IT!! :)
Hi all! Got Ship 11 Div 115 from my son's recruiter today. He left on 1/31. Got the box pretty quickly, but no formal letter yet.
I received my son's box last Saturday but still no form letter.  I'm stalking the mailman!
Hi Everyone...just got a call from home the official letter just arrived. I can't wait to get home tonight to see it. He was allowed to write a short note..so I know I'm going to cry again. Go Ship 11 Div 115!

I got my form letter today as well.  The tears started flowing before I even opened the envelope.  He sounded upbeat and said boot camp is nothing like what he expected.  The letter confirmed he is in ship 11, division 115 and his PIR date is 4/1/11.  He ended his note with - see ya April Fools!

Got the official form letter today! My son wrote a nice note at the bottom... nice to see it. He left on 1/31 so it seemed like a long time to get the letter. But, one milestone down! : )
