Got 2 letters today. she sounded upbeat but said she still has a lingering cold and cough. she is section leader and now the APO (athletic PO). We are right outside the Philly area so it is possible that my girl and Mamma K's girl could know each other. Says food is still good, it is very cold, and she is focused on graduation. It helps that she did 2-3 years of college away from us (8 hour drive) so we are very used to being away from each other for long periods of time. she said she adjusted very well. so we are hoping she gets rid of this cough/cold so she does not end up in sick bay. She is focused on graduation at this point and looking forward to seeing everyone!! As far as I know her division is on task to graduate February 18th. Let's keep the faith and continue to motivate them and send love across the miles. STAY WARM EVERYONE - IT IS DARN COLD HERE TODAY!

My girl says she is staying at GL after PIR. is this the same for anyone else in this Division??

Kathy,
I got a letter yesterday from my daughter and yes, she is staying in GL after PIR for her A-School. She was suppose to be going to Virginia which is a lot closer to home for her. :-( We were all just devistated here at home. I asked my daughter about her bunkmate and to give me a name, I told her about this website and how your daughter is from Philly and that I was wondering if our daughters are bunkmates. Hope to hear more news soon.
Mamma-K
My daughter was also thinking she would end up in Virginia. she has very close relatives there. But...we do not know long they will stay at GL after PIR....whatever the time period, hope it goes by quickly. I am hoping she provides more detail but probably will not hear again until after BattleStations since she is studying everyday. Stay well and let's hope for successful conclusion to BC and this phase of their Navy Careers.

Hi All - My son is in this division. We got a letter today! My son was so up beat and excited! Sounds like they made it through week 4 (which I believe was pretty intense). Here is what he said, "We made it! We did really well too! We are running Hall of Fame numbers averaging 4.75. That is really high! There hasn't been an integrated division that has gotten Hall of Fame numbers in 3 years".
He also said if you're going to write again, then do it quickly. They may be able to get your letter before battlestations.
I can't wait to see him!
Go division 085!!
Hi - Div 085 is doing Battlestations Sunday night to Monday morning. We should get our "I'm a Sailor" call sometime on Monday. I have been watching other divisions getting their calls and it looks like they can call anytime from the morning to the afternoon. I can't wait!!!!
