But don't be too hard on yourself. You know there are many groups here where you can be yourself. Some private one too. If you have a lot of questions New Moms Stop Here. If you need shoulders to cry on Safe Harbor. If you want some a rowdy crowd Chicken Ship (no holds barred) . Click on this for a list of special interest groups - we have religious groups, hobby groups, all sorts.
By the way, 24 is older but he will not be the oldest. A friend of mine's son just went through PIR. He is 32 with a college degree.
Congratulations on having raised a son who is qualified to get into the US Navy. That is quite an accomplishment as a single mom.
Congratulations to all new moms who are reading this comment. You are going through the classic "emptynest syndrome." We have all been there.
@tuso195,
I thought you were in Northern CA. I left you a comment with an invitation to a luncheon I am having for new members in the San Francisco Area. If you are in AZ, you don't have to worry about RSVPing.
1) Assuming you have signed in on N4M, Click on "Friend" on the upper right. That will take you to a page with three titles across the top - Friends, Requests Received and Requests Sent - stands for the number of friends you currently have, the number of Friend requests you have received and the number of friend requests you have sent out.
2) Next click on Requests Received, you will find a request I had sent you earlier this afternoon. Click accept. Once the system is updated, you will find my icon underneath "Friends" in your profile page.
3) Click on MY PAGE from the above menubar. This will take you to YOUR personal page. Look around a bid. Scroll down, you will find comment other member have left on your page! I left you a comment earlier with a link to our San Fran group. Click on that and click "JOIN" like you did with the Depper Group.
4) Underneath your profile icon, you'll see your name, place you are from, some other things then "Blog Posts", "Discussions", "Events", "Groups" etc. This tells you what activities within N4M you have participated in.
5) After you have accepted my friend request, I will be able to send you an invitation to the Luncheon. You won't be able to find this luncheon on the EVENTS calendar because the event is by invitation only. The number next to EVENTS indicates the number of Events you have been invited to or have rsvped. The luncheon will be Feb 19. this coming SAT - I am treating the guests (no charge for lunch unless you want to have an alcoholic drink, then you pay).
What time was his flight scheduled to land at O'Hare?
Our son left for bootcamp today (2/16).
Today has been a very emotional day, but we are all very proud of him.
He also left from AZ, and we spent most of the day at the MEPS office, watching the swearing in and waiting for the departure.
We did get a call around 6 pm that the plane had landed safely.
Hope this helps some of the other moms that haven't heard anything
