I received my phone call last night at 11:30 and it freaked my out at first because we do not get any calls after 10 pm.  Time Zone is 1 hour behind me in Florida.  Any one else ship out of Fl yesterday.  We live near Daytona.

Hello Ckared716 ...Hope your doing well.... I havent seen any other moms here from FL yet...but im sure there are others....We are from AZ and my dau shipped out yesterday also ...but there where 9 of them from phoenix.... she was the only girl... I was just so happy that she was not going to be by herself... met some moms at meps yesterday and we got our calls too...what a relief..it certainly helps doesnt it...

Jaime(JazziesMom)

Good morning moms. Got up a little early today:) ..and of course my first thought was...I wonder how it's going in GL.

Seems that all last week I was concentrating on what to send to bootcamp with him, and now I'm trying to determine what is safe to send to him.

So glad for this site, I guess it will only be letters in white enveloppes, on white paper :)

Morning Azhorsemom...... I know the feeling....we have letters ready to send already.... I  cant wait to find out what ship/div they are in .... the recruiters at the mesa office where so nice to tell me i can even call today and they can look at the system if they have placed her in a ship/div yet..... so you know at least by noon im going to call them and find out.....lol  Didnt you mention yesterday that your son went thru the chandler recruiting office?  how are they? Im asking because our son will be joining also but he is a senior in high  school...he cant just go to whatever recruiter office he wants since he is still in school... he has to go to the Chandler office... we will be taking him later this week ....double whammy for me this year....2 kids are leaving ....waaaaa

Jaime (JazziesMom)

Yes, just sat down and finished writing my first note :)..seems that I'm going to have to get into the routine to wake up early to write before work, and to check out N4M!

The Chandler office is great, I would recommend those guys, really nice and helpful with any questions.

@tusol95,

Just want to let you know that your invitation to luncheon was sent last night. Please click on "EVENTS" from your profile page. Secondly, please join the San Fran group (link is also on your page) if you want to connect with others in the Bay area. There are many wonderful moms in the group ready to reach out to you. I won't be following up on you after this because I have spent too many hours on N4M and will be taking time off to devote to personal project. I wish you and your son the best of luck.
