Yea!  Finally some company for you!

oops, or not, still not your division!  : (

Hello. My son Din is also in ship 11 div 121. He left on february 7th too from Brooklyn.
I got my daughter's letter and she listed both 121/122 divisions.  I've got a discussion started under the 4/8/11 group.  Would like to chat with anyone in this ship and division. Talk to you soon!
My sons the same 11/121 there, but I assume boys and girls or young men and women are in seperate quarters?  Is her pir in April as well??
i received a letter a typed one with a few words from my son stating his graduation date did you receive a letter like that?
justin~when is your son pir date?

My son left at the same time, but they didn't get there till Tuesday evening.  I  Think he is in another group thinking he would be with his friend, but I guess its not guaranteed. I got his box first, then his letter. I was good knowing he is safe and in a good environment.

I can't wait to see him when he graduates. I go on my facebook site and go into the navy recruit training command, site. It really helps a lot on the answers you need and they also have great information on what they do there, some pictures are old, but they try to give a daily pic of them..smile. Good luck, and trust me, he will be fine. He hasn't called, so I am assuming he doesn't remember my number since he doesn't have his cell phone.  Everything was instilled in those phones, and no need to remember, guessed wrong...lol.

Thanks for the facebook link, didn't know that was out there.
what happens is they do tell you NOT to call the recruiters, since they can't give you any information, so maybe that is why they behave like this. It took about a week or so, to get my sons mail. I saw one mail in the bottom of my box and my heart stopped and I knew, this was it!! I have it very close. They will send a formal letter and some information as well, for hotels/motels to reserve for their grad, day! I already did. I hope he makes it through, but deep in my heart, I know he will.
here is the link to what is most likely your PIR group (4/8)   http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir482011
for all of you ship 11 div 121 lets stick together and keep in touch ...its so great to hear from everyone its such a great place to get info.....
My son also shipped on 2/7. I got his information packet last week. I know another mom whose son didn't address the envelop correctly when he sent the packet and it got returned. I made sure my son knew how to address an envelop before he left. You'd be surprised they don't know how to do this!!!
