Hi Kim,

My son called from O'Hare last night around 6:00, then from Boot Camp around 8:30pm.

Maybe our sons met at the airport.  He said some of the guys were getting food there.

I had to close his bedroom door.  It's too hard to look at his things.

I miss him so much.  Worse than when he went to college!

I have no idea how this site works yet.  Keep getting lots of email???

We live in Michigan.  Our son called but only talked for a couple minutes, almost like they told him what to say.  It was weird, but great to know that he got there safely!

Jaime(JazziesMom)

I feel for you, its the hardest thing I have ever had to do was watch him walk away and get on shuttle. I got his call at 10 pm Tuesday night to say he was there and that he loved me gotta go no conversation.......and now it will be weeks before I hear from him....pretty much been a basket case since he left, yesterday was ok only broke down twice and came to work today. This site is helpful and its great talking to others that are feeling the same as you, because if you haven't gone through it they have no idea.....would love to hear more about your son....please feel free to write.
No not yet. I hope to find out tomorrow.
Still can't get in touch with the recruiter.... I have letters stacking up.
Ship 09 div 129 grad date 4/15/2011
My son also left for boot camp on 2/16 and I haven't heard from him since. There was a call made to my phone but when I answered no one was there. I tried calling the number back and it gave a terrible noise like a fax machine number makes when you try to call it. I'm very worried that I haven't heard from him. Any suggestions?
@tusol95-thank you for the information. I'm going crazy not knowing if he even made it there. Long nights with no sleep. I will try to contact his recruiter Monday. Thanks again and I will join pir 4/15/11 group too.
Hi.  My son also left for bootcamp on the 16th of February.  We live in Michigan.  Waiting to find out where I can send my son's letters.  This waiting is killing me.
Valiegirl,    Contact your son's recruiter on Tuesday morning - they should be able to give you his address.  Tomorrow is a national holiday, so the office will probably be closed that day.  Good luck!
