I know I am getting ahead of myself, but I need to let my son know what he should do when he orders his photo package in a few weeks.  I have read conflicting info if recruits can have the photo package fee deducted from their pay.  When is payday for recruits?  If not able to have fee deducted from pay will they have had a payday so he can use his debit card?  Like the rest of us, he is broke and does not have much in his account.
we are all new, Pam, so this question may be better in the main group where some of the seasoned Mom's may respond. I told my son to send me the info on the cost and i would send a check to pay for them. It was I figured was the best I could do since I wanted the picture.

My son said "you are really not buying those are you"

I told him of course I am.

Yeah, I accidently posted here since I am on this one more.  I did post on the main group also.
I made sure my Son took his debit card and we instructed him to use this to pay for his pictures.  I am going to make sure the money is there for that reason. I don't think he really cares about it as much as we do.
This is one of the things we discussed before he left that I wanted him to go ahead and order his pictures and yearbook...not realizing that if he did package A that he would get both.  That is great!  I know he will get them ordered thankfully and we won't have to do it later.

Good Lord I FINALLY  found all you girls LOL I posted friday on the main page and  never heard back so  I finally have had a minute to come search for  you all .. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA April 8 ....... 47 more days ......... of course we will be flying out of Colorado and booking at the Marriot as well  well part of us out of Colorado the other part out of Los Angeles ....just a word on Amtrax to Chicago we took that trip one year it was beautiful but beware  the trains break down alot  weather changes and  train tracks  get diverted so what is supposed to take 24 hrs or 2 days could turn into 4.5 days   as happened to us  so just a  opinion  cuz you definetly dont want to miss  that friday morning at 8am  :)  oh and if you  do chose  that route TAKE the cabin it is soooooooooooo worth  the $ difference :)

 Hugs Michele

I am glad you found us too Michele.

Hello Michele.

I am sorry if we missed you on the main page. It is tough to keep up with everything. We are happy that you found us. I have been excited at how many of us have loved ones in the Ship 11 Div. 123 group.

I did pass on Amtrax. I already booked on Southwest. Car with Avis. Hotel at the Hilton Garden Inn. I travel a lot and feel like that movie "Up in the Air." I get points with all of those. I guess it works because they definitely get my business!

Looking forward to learning more about you. We should have a great time in GL. I will likely need some women to take me. I surely so DO NOT want to sit with my ex if he goes.

Michele, welcome.  Glad you found us.
Hi ladies! I am having a sad day for no apparent reason but I guess I was due. I have been washing the pile of clothes that my son told me he didn't need. I think he paid no attention and just tossed randomly in a pile to make me happy. I am not. He was wrong. But I did find $14! Woohoo! And a pile of sunflower seeds -but not till they had gone thru the wash and dryer. Boooo.

I am curious. Dower have an all male division? I haven't noticed anyone in123 talk about their daughter. Just wondering.

I am so sorry, Mumz. I am with you though. I am in a total "funk" and just got a bit of the blues. I do not want to be in a hotel room by myself right now.

So, what to do?? Everytime I start feeling blue - or funky - or whatever! - I start writing to my son. He is getting so many letters! I sent him 3 just today. I sent a card, an envelope with more stamped envelopes and a small note, and then I made it to the post office, so I sent him ANOTHER envelope with more pre-stamped and addressed envelopes. (I got more supplies! :0)

$14 is way cool! I always loved getting paid to do laundry. I always collected money from laundry (never told anyone when I found it) and then placed it in a drawer. It just added up. One day the kids found it and raided it, but I guess it was theirs to begin with. I wish I had a chance to add it all up before they raided it though. There had to be close to $100 in there with $20 bills, $1 bills, a few $5's here and there and then the change! I figured I was saving up for the repair man to come and fix the machine whenever the coins got stuck!

I don't think they are going to put women in the same division with the guys. I think the divisions are the place where they have barracks together. I know a lot has changed, but I don't think they would mix them. I honestly don't know the answer though.

I hope that your night gets better.
