Would very much like to talk to you!  My son went to MEPS in St. Louis yesterday and already feel like my heart is gonna break!

I came home this afternoon and his 'box' was here.  That was a lot harder than I expected. I was pretty sure it would be no big deal to see that box-I was pretty wrong. But I know he's where he is supposed to be. So that's all I have to say about that :)
I just came home and found the box too Redmop!  I sat it in his bedroom - don't think I will open it for a while!
Kimcon, I did open it right away and that was good-hard but good.  His sister claimed one of his sweaters (for now) and his younger brother his stocking cap.
My son was sworn in @ El Segundo too but on the 17th. He did not want his father & I to attend, he said it would be to hard, so we respected his wishes. Where are you from? I sm from Oxnard, Ca.
Hi..surprisingly my daughter said it was ok for me to go and truthfully I thought it was harder for ME than her! but we survived! It was nice since they let us take pictures and also get some last minute hugs in, I tried  posting some pix of her swearing in ceremony, however since she was wearing a local college sweatshirt...I was told I needed to "blur" the name out..I just haven't had a chance to do that yet.. oh yes I am from West Covina. Have you gotten a grad date yet for your son? Rosemary
Yes grad date is 4/15.

My son flew out of San Jose into Chicago for Bootcamp on Thurs. Feb. 17th.  He called, got there ok and I'm waiting for grad date info. I'm assuming it will be April 22nd, but not 100% sure of that.

I miss him so much.  I didn't think I would feel this way, as he went to live with his dad for the first time ever when he was about 17 1/2 and it didn't really affect me too much.  But, now that he's doing something that is such a big decision... I am definitely feeling the knots.  I'll be at the graduation when ever it is. Then, he's off to Pensacola~

Thank yo for that reply!  I was thinking it would be the 15th, but then after counting and it being just under 9 weeks, I wasn't sure.  If that's the one he's in, I will join that.  I'm hoping so!  The sooner the better... :o)

Got graduation information yesterday and a small note from my son. I am so happy to know that he is doing ok, those few words he wrote are like gold to me.

He is ship 09 div 129

What was his graduation date?  4/15?
wow..I can't wait for that day!!!

I am counting down the days.
