FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Wow that was fast!  My daughter got there on the 8th also.  What ship and div is your daughter in?

No I haven't received an "official" letter from my daughter.  But I did read where the SR's had  some "freetime" on Monday because of the holiday to write letters.  I have a feeling we'll be getting a letter some time this week.  Thinking good thoughts :)
WOOO - WHOO!   We got a letter today!  We all read it together and laughed.  It was good to see his sense of humor.  He was obviously grateful for the letters.  Keep up the writing ladies!

I did not but his girlfriend did. Her college is closer to him so i guess we will get tomorrow?

We got a letter today too!!! I'm sure this is the time that everbody will be getting them. It seems it takes about 3-4 days to get here!!

My son's girlfriend/or friend...haven't met her yet! Smile...got a letter that she says, its three in one. I haven't recieved one yet, but I hope this week there is something there. though I know how much he dislikes writing...cause he never has much to say...smile. Let me cross my fingers and wait...smile.
