I have just recently found this site am very glad. It is nice to find people going through the same thing and who's sons are in the same division. I received a letter from my son on Thursday and it was so great hearing from him, I just wish I was able to actually speak with him. I am so anxious to hear from him, my phone does not leave my side and I jump everytime it rings. Can't wait for graduation we will be coming from Phoenix and I believe some of his school friends will be coming from Texas (surprise hopefully) that is where my son grew up.
Welcome cmbarba!
Thanks for fthe welcome.

Glad to meet another member of our div. You say your son grew up in TX. We are in Katy,TX by Houston, where did your son grow up? BTW- if that is your SR in your profile pic you may want to choose another pic. We have been told not to post their pictures or use their names since they are going into spec Ops.

Congrats on getting a letter!

Thanks for the welcome and the info. makes sense didn't even think about that I appreciate the heads up. We lived in Saginaw right outside of Fort Worth.
TexasSailorMom, Quiltmom gave some good information on the scarves below!
Welcome Sailormom! Looking forward to meeting everybody at PIR!!

Wow! Nine in your group now (that I have counted)... ProudMomma you can add the color you have chosen by going to options and the edit the banner/title.

Buy the scarf that suits you.  I am going to make our white ones for those in my group, several have offered to help pay for them.  If you can't find a scarf, go to any fabric store (like Joann's or Hancocks) and just buy an 1/8 of a yard of fabric (whatever you want).  If you can sew, you could put a seam in, if not, just wear it like it's a scarf. Can't wait to find you at PIR! HooYah!

Great, I will! We have a Joann's here in New York so I can just go and do that! 31 more days!! I can't wait!!! Looking forward to meeting you too!!

Sounds good, we'll just get or make our own in burgundy and just wear them all weekend! Can't wait to meet everyone!

My SR's PIR date is also 4/1 ~ but she left on 1/31 ~ looking so forward to PIR!
