Just received my sons address & I am excited to send off his letters. He left for boot camp on the 17th of Febr. Is there any one else who's child in on the same ship?

I booked Residence Inn as well.  Also looking at Candlewood Suites, does anyone know anything about that place? It is a little farther up the road, but not that much.
@ Hollywould-How did you get such a good rate? When did you book your room? I think you said you paid $89 a night? That is a great deal. Did you telll them it was for a Navy grad?
nope.  Maybe cause I have AAA.  It's usually like $10.00 a night more if you don't have that.
Letter??????

Well, yes.  Kind of.  A little disturbed, but whatever, he's fine. He hasn't lived with me for about 2 years, maybe he forgot my zipcode. :/ But, his father got the letter, which is cool.  but apparently his step mother, who he never got along with, got it 3 days ago when his dad was at work.  She never told anyone till yesterday and he told her that I had been waiting for the info, so she emailed it over this morning. whatever.....

Anyway, his PIR is also 4/15 as I expected.... so I will see you all there. :o)

I was checking some of the hotels last week and the discount for Navy grads was a little better than AAA. By about $5-10
At some hotels, especially in Waukegan, if you tell the hotel you're booking for a Navy Grad you'll get a special rate. I think our room at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan was only 65 or 70 a night. We have AAA but I've noticed a lot of hotels don't have very good discounts for it.. Sometimes the price they charge is even a little higher.
My son is also on ship 09 and division 138. He will Grad. April 15th as well. We are from Kansas. Hoping to get a letter soon. I heard no phone calls until 3 wks. in.
Welcome! What is your sons name? When did he go in? Yes, no phone calls.......remember no news is good news......=)

My son's name is Brad, he is on Ship09/Div.138 He left on 2/17 and his PIR is 4/15. Still no letter. It is driving me crazy. I miss him so much! What is your son's name?  What ship and div? Thanks!

Suzy- Navy&USAFMom

Navy&USAFMom-my son Joe is also on ship 09 div 138. He also left on 2-17 from LAX. I know what you mean , I run home everyday to check the mail & nothing every time. I also keep my phone with me every where I go, lol.
