I GOT MY LETTER!!!! I finally got a letter today from my son and I am bawling my eyes out!! I miss him soo much!! I hope everybody is getting their letters soon!!
Yea!! That is so wonderful! I keep running to the mail box hoping, hoping....
He said they get this past Sunday (the 20th) was his actual first Sunday off. He was up for the first 48 hours straight. He said it was tough but is having a bit of an easier time now. he says he even "makes my bed like a champ" :) I'm so proud!! I tried to teach him that for quite a few years, Navy taught him in a day! LOL!!! Awww...that's my boy!!!

I also have a boy in ship 4 div 806.  I received my first letter today and although he sounds tired, he sounds pretty good.  Does anyone know of a RV park that is close?  We are driving from the Seattle area...

Hi mom2four! Nice to meet you!!  I'm not sure of anything around there. We are coming from NY.
We are flying in from NY also (Long Island) .  Was wondering if anyone knows if our boys are doing their pre-buds at GL?  If they are, then I would hope that we'd have our boys for the weekend.  Received a 2 page letter yesterday and he sounded very upbeat.  Said that week 1 of BC was the worst and is very glad it's over.
My understanding was that they are doing pre-buds in GL.
Oh my heavens!! Thank you!!!! I forgot about that... so cheap and right there!  Wee hooo!  Now if I could just have the RV packed and have the rest of the month go a little faster so we could be there. Thanks again. :)
