My son ships on 3.29.  I am so sad and proud at the same time, but I can see how much this forum will help.  Thanks for organizing.

Welcome laurelbc - I just added you to the calendar!!  We know exactly what you mean!!  In fact the phrase "get those big girl panties out" comes up a lot!!  This journey is for sure an emotional roller coaster!! We are all here to support each other - so please feel free to jump right in on the main March page - dont be shy - ask questions, vent, whatever - we will understand!!  Again - welcome!!
cmom, that's a great phrase, "March Madness"! I admire how clever and organized you are. Thanks for keeping the March moms informed and on top of things.
ebigirl - you are so sweet!!  I don't know how organized I am - thats why I have said in the past - if I miss someone  PLEASE let me know!!  In fact forevermom had a great idea to have a ITSN 2B discussion - that way we could post questions, comments, fun facts etc and it would be easy for me to print out and then it would be like she is in our conversations!! When she answers the letter -( I will post the answers!!)  I will get that going tonight!!  It is so great to have such a "FUN and understanding group!!"  and yes this is truly MARCH MADNESS!!!!
Well ladies, I am no longer a navy girlfriend as of today. My guy just decided he doesn't want to try with our relationship through this experience...so I'm respecting his decision and letting him go.I am though going to see him off on Sunday, but not sure after everything we've been through I can wait on his mind to change or his return (whichever comes first) to see if it will ever be rekindled. I wish the best of luck to all you women with your sons, husbands, etc. You are all truly amazing women for standing so strong through your loved ones careers. I am truly disappointed not to continue on as a military girlfriend, but am glad I got to experience at least a little bit of another life with him. So I guess CMom, you can delete my name from the calender. :( Best of luck everyone!
DevynJ - I am so sorry to hear this!  I understand you are going thru so much right now - are you going to be writing him while in bc? Sounds like you are still 'friends'?  If so I think we should leave you on the calendar - but it will be your call - If it is too hard for you to read and post things I also would understand.  I just really feel your pain right now!!  Big hugs to you and just let me know if you really want to be off the calendar!!
CMom- Yes, we agreed to still write each other no matter what. I love and care about him too much to just write him off (even if he is sorta doing that to me). I know he's stressed, but we've been thru a lot and this isn't the first time he's broken up with me and then changed his mind. He already seems to be regretting his decision because he begged me to come over so we can really talk about everything again. I just don't know if I can allow myself to take him back (even though I really want to be with him) because he's got to learn he can't just throw my emotions around as he pleases...Maybe boot camp will be just what he needs to grow up alittle and make him realize what he's on the verge of losing. Ill stay on the calendar for now...until I know alil more of what the future holds. I've prayed that boot camp would be a learning experience for our relationship..but if nothing else I pray the time apart us a learning experience for us as individuals as well. Thanks for your kind words. Hope your doing well CMom!
I am so glad you are going to stay - (regardless of how long it may be!!)  I understand what you are saying by he can't take you for granted! I say he like so many of our sons - is just really stressed right now - the not knowing etc.  I know my son and I went rounds before he left - It gets crazy! so I can only imagine how it would be for a young couple!  If it is meant to be it will be - if not try to remember all the lessons you had - and learn by them.  Sometimes we have to go thru these hard times to be able to appreciate the good times - blah blah blah - I know you have likely been told all this stuff before - but know you are among friends and we are here to support you thru this!!
My son leaves for great lakes on the 9th.~Brett's Mom
Hello and Welcome melisacnp!  Glad to have you aboard!!  Please feel free to join the conversations on the main March page!!  My son left last Wednesday - his rate is CTN - what about your son? What rate (job) will he have?
i cant believe how fast this is going by i have a whole 10 days left with my son. i'm so very proud of him !!! but going to miss him like crazy !!! his rate is ctr

Best wishes to everyone with someone leaving this week.  Be strong!
