Rags - Ha - Yes - you win - the wine is on me!
We need to set a date!
Not sure which is worse , the fact that I received a card  back marked Postage Due Return to Sender - or the fact that it was opened and read then resealed with tape before returning it back!! Lesson learned always check your postage/ shape of envelope (in this case) and be careful what you write, your SR is not the only one reading your mail...
Sorry that your letter was returned, Paula.  Yes - we should all be aware that thier mail gets reviewed. If it is not opened and read prior to them receiving, they will have to open items in front of everyone. Be very careful what you place in  your mail.
Or write!
Hate to play devil's advocate here but the mail would never have gotten to the base if it was postage due.....it would have been stopped at the postoffice.
it had a sticker on it from RTC
oh really - isn't THAT interesting!  Hmmm - well, my son did say that thick envelopes had to be opened in front of everyone.  I wonder if they opened it for security reasons?  I'll bet that is why.  They have to be on their guard at all times.  Still - opened and sent it back to you....silly.

Congratulations everyone! I know that we are all getting calls today. I just go off of the phone with my son who told me that their entire division was at the phone bank calling today!! Yippee!!!! It was so good to hear his voice. We talked a bunch and then he wanted to give his dad a call before he had to go.

So - they obviously talk. He knew which moms are in our group and how many of us are talking to each other. It sounds as though they are all getting along. Mums, the way I understood it, sounds as though they are trading moms this weekend and you will get a letter from my son and I will get one from yours? If I am wrong, I will let you know later.  :0)

They LOVE the letters and enjoy the extra letters too! I got a few names of people to write to and I will get some out today if I get a chance.

I am excited today. It was just so good to hear his voice. I miss him more now though. I didn't think that was possible. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Shoot - forgot to get names of guys to write - message me with some of the names.

I didn't hear about the mom trade thing - don't hold your breath, girl!  That boy is the worst letter writer. I did hear that they talk!!!!!!  Haha!  Whew - they get along!  I know they talk baseball.  My son is a fanatic.  An Astros fanatic.

They sound so mature.  Wow.  He said he loves it - the Navy FITS.

BTW - they got their first paycheck in their accounts - that was exciting.

Oh man, I totally forgot that your son doesn't like to write. I will probably get 3 sentences again!! hahaha

I was happy to hear that they all talk too. He said that they are all a family and get along very well. He said that they get yelled at so much that the last thing that they want to do is yell at one another.

Oh - they are also the first division in their ship to win a flag. My son is on the "flag" detail and is working on thier division flag. This does not surprise me since he is such an artist!

YEA!  I wondered who would get the honor to design the flag!  My son was sooooo proud that they got the first flag of all of the divisions - said it was an academic honor flag.  They took their first test and the whole division had to average a 4.0 on a 5.0 scale.  They were the only ones.
