My son is going for SWCC. From what i understand he is going to Coronado right after PIR. If you havent joined already go to the SWCC group...LOTS of great info there!
do you have a link?  I find this site really hard to navigate!

Had a call today but sadly missed it due to it being during my work week. I just felt so sad! thankfully he left me a long message.  Too bad they couldn't call on a Saturday... but thankful to hear that our two sons are doing well in training. I guess one of our son's is a Section leader and the other has another "important" role?

Exciting... days.. can't wait for 4/8 to get here.

Oh boy, missing those calls is torture.  My son tells me I have to keep my phone on me at ALL times.  :)
Ugh this waiting game is driving me crazy! No letters and no call. Makes me worry when some of you have gotten calls from those in 808 and nothing for me. I just hope he doesn't end up calling me when I am at work. I miss him so much and I want a letter/call so bad!

I know, it will come. I'm not sure how many in 808 got calls last week but I do believe they finally let the mail go out on Thursday, you should have something by Wed. =(   My sons friend is in 808, he called his GF on Thursday and said mail was on the way, to let his family know. (She posted it on his facebook) He didn't say why the delay but the call was short, wish I had more info for you. It must be awful....hang in there, I'm sure he is doing fine!

My son is also in this div and called Friday, said letters were mailed Thursday.  Not sure of why there was a delay. He said the next phone call would have to be earned, so just pray they have the opportunity to earn a call.  At least we will have mail in a couple of days.  My son said his letter is 6 pages long - boy, he must be really homesick.  I was lucky to get one line from him when he was at college!!!!
Thanks ladies! I can't wait to get that letter!
My first letter came today.  My son is in Div 808.

Yea Penny Navy Mom...

Whatever you do do not call the number that appears on your phone if you miss a call from your recruit.  You may end up talking to someone in the group like an RDC and then you can cause a problem for your recruit.  If you miss the call and it goes to voice mail at least you get to hear their voice.  Typically the 800 divisions do not get as many calls as the other divisions, just be thankful when you get them.
Got two long letters today! I am so happy! He says it's not what he expected at all, but adjusting well. Said there is a group of guys that are getting them in trouble which is why it has taken this long to get out letters. I hate that for them. He also has to get some teeth pulled before graduation. He says there are many good men in his division and has come close to his Rackmate. He didn't give a name though. I am so proud of him. Oh and I am wondering if I didn't get a call because he forgot his calling card. Did your men take calling cards?
