Looks good Ladies. I like the ribbons. I think I can handle this one. Looking forward to letters tomorrow!! I hope he is still not hungry. Poor boy is always hungry:) I think he just wants comfort food. getting excited about meeting you all soon. Fun to hear what everyone is doing Keep it up it makes time fly faster. Talk to you soon. Have a great night.
Hi Everyone, Sorry i have not been online in a few days, not a good week around our house, hot water heater broke, other stuff goin on with our daughter, not bad stuff but just a lot of stuff. Ribbons look great, going to get supplies today, Mushell, great work. Love it! Hope all is well with everyone else and looking forward to this weeks letters too!
Hi All,  I did get a letter today....all seems well with him, just tired. The thing he said that stuck out the most was that he looked most forward to my letters more than anyone elses. sigh.....that made me feel really good.   Glad everyone is liking the "simple" green ribbon idea.  Keep in mind....that "prototype" in the picture was a quick throw together just to see if paint would stick, which it did just fine.  I cut the bottom of ribbon with dull scissors, so it's all raggedy. Also, just wrote "name" on the left side side....not my real name! Lol  Hope you all have a letter in the box tomorrow!  ps: Thanks for the compliment Chrissy.  And Kym, I hope he gets a full belly soon!

Hi Ladies.. Hope everyone received a letter today. I guess they aren't getting enough food becuz my son stressed they are getting small meals.. (he's always hungry) He went on to say the weather is cold.. I can't wait to see him.. Ladies where are you all staying over there??

Mushell is there a number to the color of the ribbon?

Hi Bren,  what it says on back of spool is Grosgrain Forest  and it says 3097 under those words.  Mfg is Offray...dark blue/light blue colored spool.  As far as where folks are staying....I know 2 families on here are at the Navy Lodge, and 2 of us are at the Residence Inn.
Hi Bren,  We are staying at the LaQuinta.  It is not the one close to the other hotels.  It is no farther from the base just a little south.  Great price.  We needed 2 rooms that sleep 6 each....there are a bunch of us.  Our Sr has 6 siblings and they wouldn't miss this for the world. Hope this helps.

OK Ladies.  Yes I also got a letter today.  Again very short.  but very informative.  He gave me the names of some of the guys he has been hanging with.  He heard that some of us moms already have been talking and know each other...he thought that was funny.   He mentioned food but not that he was hungry, maybe they have filled him up finally:)  The best news for me today was ......He ran a race with his RDC and he (my SR) won!!!!!  And for winning he got to make a 10 minute call home.  What a surprise.  My phone rang and I looked at the area code and it said 847 and I could hardly believe it.   It was so nice to hear his voice and his heart.  I am still floating.  I am not sure when my feet will touch the ground again!!

I know this was long.  Thanks for letting me share.  Have a nice night.

Hooray! Kim / Glad you got a phone call! So happy for you!! and ladies glad the rest of you got letters too. Add me to the list. (I LIVE FOR LETTERS!) my SR was talkn about these yummy oatmeal blueberry cookies and how good the food is again. He is SOOOOOOOOOO READY for PIR !!! He misses us - friends-music-and his dog. :-)  Mushell - nice job on the ribbon it does look nice! I will head out 2moro and get mine. Where did you get the flag pin?? I went to hobby lobby & Joann Fabric - no flag pins or even buttons! We are also staying @ the Navy Lodge...driving and coming in on the 31st
Hey Girls!

I talked to my SR last night as well because of his run time in the PFA test!! It was short, said he was tired, they started using the pistols, so he was fine. He just looked for mote letters from anyone!!

We are driving and staying at the Navy Lodge, there are 7 of us in all.

Looking forward to it more every day!!

Take care!

Kristie
Kym and Bubbasmom, So happy to hear you got calls, congrats to the sailors too! Great job! Bren we are staying at the Navy Lodge. Hope there is a letter today!

Ladies I'm glad you all were able to speak to your sons... I'm staying at the Ramada..

I'm so happy for all of you receiving letters and calls.  Maybe more calls will follow soon.  Just a few short weeks and we will get to see our Sailors!  God Bless you all!  Hooyah!
