My daughter is on the USS Essex and at the time of the quake they were in Malaysia. They have been re-routed to return to Japan to help along with 5 other ships. Hope this helps.

Hi Wendy our son is on the same ship . We head the same. god blew them all. Deb .
Yes the ship was in Malaysia as my son Hans posted on facebook early this morning from there.  At the time he posted he was at a hotel relaxing but of course we all know that didn't last for long.  They are headed back to Japan with humanitarian supplies.
My son as well, he said that they haven't left yet but will be going back soon.  God be with them as they face  something very hard, I am sure,
It will take time for aerial evaluations to be done so that hot spots will be determined for all relief efforts. Save your strength. It will take time. Lite a blue candle for all of our 7th fleet.
God bless them all not blow sorry new touch phone I'd never say that I appreciate all service family and friends ate special god bless them deb

I heard from my daughter today, praise God!!!

I will continue to pray for our soldiers, the people of Japan and for the nuclear plants not to get worse.

Worry Ends When Faith in God Begins! Relax Ladies and trust that God is in control.

Ask God for Strength to give their entire Shipmates a strength beyond anything they have ever experienced.

We like to think that worry works for us.It reminds us what needs to get done or it motivates us to get to the next step. The truth of the matter is: worry works on us; it doesn't work for us. It will steal life & create relational difficulties.Until we get something that works better than worry,we are going to keep worrying. You cant say no to one thing until you have something better to say YES to. Say YES to God
