My son flew out of SJ for Chicago on 2/17, and is on Ship 9/Div. 138.  I still dont know his graduation date.  I assume it will be 4/15 or 4/22.

His dad and I haven't been together for years, so hoping he sends the info we need to both our addresses.  :(

Just received my call, apparently my sons division is a grad n go!
I am so mixed with emotions........his letter was so upbeat full of life & the call was as if he had the life sucked out of him!!!

I hope you all get a better call.......tear!

Well, I got a double good whammy today. Got my letter, which was pretty standard, no real good or bad emotions showing.  & he just called about 45 mins. ago and we talked for exactly 2 min. 10 seconds.  He said everything was good and he was fine, but super busy, but then he said he had to go I heard the guy screaming at them to get off the phones or something, and he got choked up said "I love you mom and I miss you and I'll call soon, with a teary voice"... that's all it took for me to break down.  :(

But I was the first person he called, so that makes me happy that he knows I'm the one over here worried.  He said no one else sent him letters yet, except me.

@HOllywould-did he mention grad n go? My son did that the letters were stopped because of discipline issue but he is hoping that it will be released Sunday.
Well I feel priviledeg that I rcvd a 10 min 16 second call & I also hear in the backgroung yelling to get off the phone...........I just lost it when I hung up the phone........=

I am so glad that he called you Hollywould..........you are his momma!!!!!

Have a blessed day!!!

Thank you. :o)  He mentioned that his division were acting like "ASSCLOWNS" so he wasnt sure of the grad date, although SUPPOSED to be 4/15.  I think he got all my letters though.  He did not mention Grad and Go.

When he originally embarked on his journey for RTC, he said he thought after bootcamp, he came back for a week or so, and then off to Pensacola.  Not sure though, maybe he was mistaken.

You have a blessed day too!  We'll have to meet at the grad. Do you have a facebook?

My son did mention that his division did get in trouble too, he said he was @ mass when it all happened on Wednesday, I was hoping he wasn't involved.

I thought the Grad n Go was for the SR's that stayed in A school @ Great Lakes? My son is also going to Pensicola.

I do not have a facebook....=(
Hollywould-I was wondering what your son;s job is & where is he going to A school at?
I listened while my wife talked for about 5 minutes with our son.......then we heard the yelling and he had to go. He says he's a section leader and sleeps ok. But he said the first week or so was pretty emotionally tough and hard to get any sleep.
I am glad you got your call........=)

I just feel worst than I did before!

Did he say anything about Grad n Go?
About all he said was he was going to A school at Great Lakes....but there wasn't enough time for details.
