While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Power School class 1103
Anyone have sons or daughters in Power School class 1103?
My son is in 1103-10. I was recently in GC and met several of his friends - I was very happy that they are all very bright and intense people. My boy has surrounded himself with some very good people. I mentioned the N4M website and while none of them knew about it, several thought their mothers would be into it. So I am putting the call out there and hoping to connect with other parents.

Yes, NukeMom, you're right--my son is in 1103-6. I am hoping that power school will seem to go by as quickly as A school did. I guess it will seem faster when we're not the ones doing the studying!

Ok mine is in 1103-8 he is a MM and his A school had ALOT of smart kids in it. so this should be interesting hold breath for Aug 12 to get here

Hi Ladies,
I’m hoping we can trade news from our children. For your guide, my son, Keith S. (I know everyone goes by their last name.) His PIR was 8/27/10, he is an MM, A school (class 1050) grad was 12/17/10, and now on to Power School. I saw him just before school started and he was also very happy. We Skype on a weekly basis and he’s pretty good about giving me news. I will recap our conversations and I hope you will also share your news. We can look forward to seeing our sailors in August!

Please do pass on info! MM or ET info.....!!!! My son PIR'd 6/4/10, A School Class 1037-T, graduated on 12/3/10. He's been on T-Track since then SO he's actually really happy that classes are starting up again! It's good to make contact with all of you Navy Moms/Wives/Gf's! (Power School Class 1103-5) : )

Hello,
My son is also in 1103-10. He is doing great. He said so far power school is not that different than A school but now he can't talk about most of the stuff he's learning. I am trying to find out the date of power school graduation but so far, no luck. Do you know when it will be? I remember him saying something about Aug 12 or 14, but can't get him to confirm that.

My son's name is Jack. I was hoping the graduation would be on the weekend. Friday makes the travel a little tougher.

News from NNPTC: Keith says they have three classes: math, physics, and Reactor Plant Systems. In math they are studying algebra. Physics - different measuring units, Newton's three laws, and torque. Reactor Plant Systems (RPS) is a basic overview of everything they will study in Power School. The math and physics classes are taught by Ensigns and RPS is taught by an MM1. There is a test next week in RPS. Keith didn't mention about manditory study times, but I'm sure they have some.
I asked if they were talking about the nuclear challenges they're having in Japan right now because of the earthquake, but he said no. I thought they might since this would be a good learning opportunity.

Nukemom my son said something like if I was only here a year earlier or about done with proto I could volunteer to go to Japan. So it makes me wonder if its all volunteer oh well. As a mom stand point YEA still have another year or so for school hehehehehe Don't have to worry to much in SC,,
