Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I will put it on the calendar - but I agree 209 seems like quite a jump - what is his rate?  (job)  maybe that has something to do with it?!?! 

Is he spec op's?  Ozzy's son is 4/809   -

I think Ozzy and mine are prob in the same division.  I looked at a powerpoint someone posted and it looks like spec ops are numbered in the 800's...still I'll wait to firm it up, but that makes sense.  Ozzy...what is your son's classification?

mamasan,  My son is Ship 04 Div 809.  He has  Diver contract. Do you know your son's PIR?

Hi Ozzy!  Yes, our boys are together.  James also has a Diver contract.  I got his letter today, May 6 PIR date.  Every little step or bit of information is so precious.  Glad to connect with you.  I tried to friend you, but didn't have any luck.  If you want to try,

CMom - my boyfriend's mom just called me with the news! We have the form letter! His Ship and Division #'s are 4/809! I'm SOOO excited PIR is April 29th! I have finals the first week in May and was sooo scared I wouldn't be able to attend b/c of exams! Please add me to the calendar!! :) :)

Devyn, is your boyfriend a Diver?  My son Ship 04 Div 809, as well!  I have not g received his PIR date, though.

WOO-HOO just updated you!!  Does this mean you will still be with us?  How are things between you two?

Did he leave with you two on good terms?  I sure hope so!!  Please keep in touch - maybe we will meet at PIR?!

Ozzy - I believe his form letter came the same day or day after his mom recieved his clothes?! Not sure but it was close...she called me this morning with the info! No, my boyfriend isn't a diver, but he is going to be a Air Rescue Swimmer, so still a spec ops. Surely their PIR is the same day though? Since it's the same division. So you haven't yet recieved the form letter?

 

CMom - Thank you! & Yes I am staying here! It's a complicated situation, but the night before he left he broke down and said he regretted breaking up with me, that it was a mistake and he was just scared of hurting me! (Even though I've told him from the beginning our relationship is worth the risk to me..noone ever knows what tomorrow holds, but that we shouldnt give up because we are scared!) I'm so glad he wants me here to support him, I couldn't be happier. When is your son's PIR exactly?

So this is weird, My son, Devyn's boyfriend and mamasan's son all left on the same day (March 7th) they are all Ship 04 Div 809.  Devyn's boyfriends has a PIR date of 4/29 and mamasan's son has a PIR date of 5/6.  I have not recieved the 'letter' yet, so I am not sure when my son's PIR date is. 

I wonder why they would not PIR together?

Only guess I have as to why their dates are different is because they have different jobs??! But that still makes no sense because I thought the divisions did everything together!?
