Hey everyone!

I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

Yea, I was wondering about that too, but then again, some of the videos I watched on YouTube showed them training together. I know they are housed separately. How old is your son? My daughter is 21. My youngest daughter is enlisting next Friday on her 18t birthday, so I'll have to do this again and my son is going Air Force DEP in Nov and will leave after graduation the following summer. This is good practice I guess.

My son is 18 and we're from Maryland.  He'll go to Corpsman school which I think it's now in San Antonio, Tx.   Wow, you must be really proud with all of them in the military but scared at the same time?  Not sure when we'll get a personal letter from him.  His box came on Tuesday with all his stationery!  I went back to look for the stamps to send them to him in a letter but he must have kept those.  So I hope to get a letter soon.  I'm just so excited for him and want to know how he's feeling and what's he's thinking about all of this!  His dad and I are both ex-Navy so we know what he's going through but it's a different feeling when your child goes through it.  :(

I  think they bunk together?  I mean they are on subs together, I'm sure they are getting them used to close quarters.
Actually, I don't think women can serve on subs...but I could be wrong.
Hello everyone, My boyfriend is also on ship 2 Div 925! The information came today :)
Hi Susan! That's wonderful! Welcome to the group! :)
Thanks! He left on 3/7 and it has been a longggggg week. I was just happy to finally have an address!
I know right!!  My daughter left on 3/9 and I didn't expect to get a letter so soon! Im glad we did though.
YEA!  More ship 02/div 925 moms/wives!!
My daughter Charity is in this ship/div. also.. so glad to connect w/you all! :)
Hi Jen!!  Im sure our daughters will meet!
You are absolutly right TN, women are not allowed on subs, I just googled the info.  Thanks for the heads up.  Well that makes me feel a bit better.  I trust my husband and all, but you know...lol

Aveo.. I think they men/women train together, but bunk seperately.  As a mom of a female, I do NOT want them to change the "no women allowed on subs" rule.. but they are allowing some officer females to start being allowed on subs. I just think it is asking for TROUBLE!  I wouldn't want to be on a sub that's been all male.. that is for sure.

:)
