Just received my sons address & I am excited to send off his letters. He left for boot camp on the 17th of Febr. Is there any one else who's child in on the same ship?

Just heard from our kids and they are in Missoula. Said the passes were just wet. So we are on for a trip to Billings on Friday.  Get to see the girlies: Elizabeth is 3; Miriam is almost 2 and then we get to meet Ike, our first grandson who was born January 8.  Should be lots of fun!
I am so happy for you. Enjoy the visit and build the me
We're from Virginia and my son is ship 09, div 138 as well.  It was so good getting that first letter and I can't wait for another!  He was in good spirits, just very tired as to be expected and a little frustrated that his wisdom teeth caused him to be confined to his bunk a little while.  We look forward to meeting everyone!

We are from Kansas, and my son Brad Ingram also had 2 wisdom teeth pulled. He seems to be getting along pretty good.

What is your son's name. I have been writing letters to him telling him that I have met some moms of the guys on his ship. I guess 3-4 have been sent home for medical reasons, or for some other reason. He said that they are having a lot of inspections that are pretty intense. Keep in touch, by the way, my name is Suzy. It is very nice to connect with all of these moms.

Talk to you soon! Have a blessed day!

I'm really not for sure. I think during the dental screening if they need to come out, and they are easy to get to,they go ahead and pull them.l He needs the other 2 out, but they would require surgery to remove them. My other son in the USAF had his pulled, but they waited until tech school. Anyway, he got along just fine, and he got to have a couple days of bed rest to heal.

I'm Michelle and my son is Patrick :) Last I heard he's doing well!  His step father got the one phone call he was allowed to make while I was at work.  I'm glad he at least got to hear a friendly voice and not a voicemail but so sorry I didn't get to talk to him!
Welcome ladies! Now why are their wisdom teeth pulled @ bootcamp?

My son, Dylan Reynolds got all 4 of his wisdom teeth pulled.

One thing that would stop me from joining the navy. That would be a big "hell no" for me getting mine pulled out unless absolutely necessary! hahahha

Yea! Finally here! Ship 09 DIV 138

Does everyone here also know about the facebook group?

I haven't heard anything in the last 4 days. I haven't checked my mail to see if my SR's written a letter. I sent him one yesterday and put a self addressed stamped envelope in it! (a suggestion from a mom on RTC's facebook page.

My son didn't have his wisdom teeth pulled. They told him they might do it in A school.

Anyone gotten any letters? Are they behaving a little better?

Hi Angel ~ Nice to meet you. I am also on the facebook page for RTC.  I got one letter and one phone call.  Hoping whoever was acting up has wised up so the whole division doesnt' have to pay for it.

Sarina, I agree!

Marianne

HI, I recieved a letter last Thursday and a phone call last Friday but he counld not talk long.  It lasted about 2 - 3 minutes.  It was wonderful to hear his voice and how grown up he now sounds.  He said he loves it but it is hard and yes the food was not all that bad.  He said that he likes all the people in the div and they are all becoming friends.  I am so so so proud.  I hope everyone else has been able to hear from their SR.
