did I do that right?  We haven't started twoard travel yet for the big day.  My son is quite a bit older than many of the other recruits.  He is 32. I imagine he is having a very different experience than if he had joined 10 years ago.  He did march in a drum and bugle corps, so some things are easier for him, I am sure.  Lookinf forward to a real letter.

I'm right there too, Tina, I just wish he would call.  I have so many questions and so new to this process, that it is hard to just wait around and hope for the best.  I guess its that frame of mind thing that will keep up the good attitude.  No worries about the kid comment here either, cuz we are all just on the outside lookin' in at this point.  TB1983, I'm appreciating all the info from you, from your hubs.  Very good to hear something.

I got 3 letters today!  He sounded better in the letters then he did on his phone call.  He said things are getting better.  He had to get a root canal! yikes.  but he said after the shots, he couldnt feel anything.

He got top 5 in the PFA test!  He said they are getting ready to start the fun stuff- weapons & fire fighting.

He said a lot more stuff, but mostly just how much he misses us and what their daily routine is.

I hope you all get letters!

Got #1 questionnaire and letter today!  All is well....pretty much a summary of our conversation the other day...but very nice to have a letter so i can read it over and over and to others.  "Oh, and i love getting all the mail"...that alone from my 19 yr old son...priceless!!!  He did say not to send cards, because if the RDC's feel something hard, like a card, in an envelope, it slows things up and they have to open them in front of them (RDC's)...said binder paper/or just paper is best.

As TB1983 said...hoping you all got letters today!

KiWi2011...good for you.  I dont even know you~and I am so excited for your hubby to see all the work (workouts) that you have done to transform yourself.  Good Job!  What a wonderful reunion you will have...and was a trooper you are do be doing this, at the same time he is having a hard time!  Good for the both of you!
Hi all, I 'm just wondering, has everyone, or anyone received phone calls from their SR?  I have gotten a letter, but my son said they heard rumors of phone calls, but I still haven't heard from him.  Of course, he could call someone else, but I thought I might just throw that out there.  Would love to know from anyone in the group.  Thanks

I got the "3 week" phone call on March 8th.

My husband said that if some didnt pass their written test, they didnt get calls home.  I dont know if that could have been your SR?  Or maybe he had to stand watch during the calls?

I haven't received a phone call either, so I guess we are in the same boat, no pun intended.  Everytime my phone rings I jump and then when I see its not him, I'm bummed all over again.  Hey, maybe they have the same job and are working together.
We also got our call last Tuesday.  I agree...maybe he had duty.
The passing of the test thing just might be the answer.  He did admit in his letter that he is good at some things and not so good at others.  So I guess I just have to be happy with the written word.  Maybe he will do better this week and I might hear from him.   Tina, it seems like we are experiencing the same things.  I am terrifically bummed not to hear from him.  I still have so many questions that his letter just didn't get into.  I just keep saying to myself, no news is good news.........

My SR did say he passed his all 1st tests and is now an E-2.  So I'am going with the work thing.  It just really hard when everyone keeps asking... did you hear from you son.  I went as far as calling his recruiter yesterday and asking if it was normal that I haven't received a phone call and so many others have.  He said yes, and he gave me a few instances in where SRs get to call home and where some don't.  I keep hearing about this Grad-n-go thing and I would like to know if he is doing that or if I should make reservations for all weekend and to leave on Monday.  I guess I could always site see in Chicago. :-)  Anyways, I hope we get a phone call soon... I keep praying!

the flag record? sorry dont know much about the flags?
Awesome!  I didnt hear about the flags in my letters.  Thats great :)
