Nope, that's not Derek.  I can't wait to find out if he knows anyone of your SRs.

I just added to the march calendar.

nope not one of those photo's has my husband in it!  I think they swore in in NY, b/c my husband had told me I could come see it if I wanted to.  But he said he didn't want me to treck up to NY with our son for just a second, and have to say good bye all over again.
got my letter today!!
YEA! I knew you would!  :)

I JUST 5 minutes ago got an actual letter from Ashley!!  Her exact words: "...it's not as bad as I thought it would be but it still buh-lows!" I got my boots and my feet hurt so bad I can't walk"  - She went on to say that and the fact that she misses us is the hardest part but then went on to say a bunch of good things, she is in a performance division, and thank goodness, she said she still doesn't regret joining and knows when it's all over she will be a better person.... ahhhhh my hear can rest a little now.

I hope all of you got good letters too... Im telling you, my day went from good to SPECTACULAR just getting that letter!!!

DMinn (I'm Shell by the way) :)

It sounds like they are going through the exact same thing. I was so relived to hear she wasn't sorry for her decision. I think it would be harder t know she is there and regretting it, although I have heard at some point around week 2-3 they do for a while but by week 4 they are OK again.  I'll tell ya, I think this is almost as hard on US mentally as it is on them!! LOL Thank goodness you all are here... it is such a comfort to know there are others in the same exact place, same mindset, etc.  You all are such a gift to me and I truly hope we get to meet. {{{hug}}}

Hi!

My daughter Veronica is on Ship 2 Division 925

Hi Vivianne!

Welcome to our little group! My daughter Ashley is in the same ship/Div  I wonder if they know each other? I will ask her when I write to her this evening.  Have you gotten a letter yet? If so, how is she doing?

I got my first "real" letter from Veronica yesterday! She said the first few days were really hectic but has made friends with a couple of the girls. She sounds good. I was so excited when I got her form letter that I pre addressed a dozen envelopes but when I received her first letter, the 4 digit extension on the zip code was different and the ship name was also included for her return address...LOL

Do you know if I need to include the ship name as well or is ship 02 div 925 enough?

I just wrote it exactly the way it was in the form letter. I didn't include the ship name or any of that. I hope we don't need to as I've already sent a bunch of letters!

Hi vivianne!

My husband's letter said he was making friends so that made things easier but he said he missed me and our son so badly that thinking about it made him cry.  He said he had to stop writing so that his division didn't see him tearing up.  I felt SO bad for him, but that was a week old, so hopefully by now he's gotten my pictures and letters I sent him.  I hate snail mail, I'm so not used to the delay in communication.

Anyway though, I guess we should be expecting our three week phone calls next week?

Vivianne and Shell,

I hope our daughters get to know each other, that would be so cool!
My daughters letter was good.. I'll see how her NEXT letter is, when bc actually started!  LOL
I'll email you all and give you my daughters name! :)
Great to meet you Vivianne! :)
Jenn
