Gaylemm,
I also got the form letter today from son Zach and his graduation date. My daughter already booked out flights and hotel reservations. And we took the Navy's advise and got refundable tickets just in case he would be delayed because of injury, illness, etc. I am so excited.....also got his package of clothing yesterday. We had planned that he would donate them ( to the trash). He worn old jeans, etc.
Who knows we may get to meet and out boys could actually know each other. There is ONLY about 88 guys in their Division. LOL
Hi Val.
My son is also in ship 09 division 136...we are staying at the Ramada...We booked thru Sunday and found out this week he is a Grad and Go so we don't know if we will par down our stay or see some sights.....Daughter and Granddaughter are also coming...she is 11yr and will melt when she see's her Uncle Zach again after this much time....she has only gone a week without seeing him and that was when he went to Summer camp and she usually went to take him or bring him home....she is more excited then me and dad....time is a closing in for sure....
Hi Carol,
I'm really trying to figure this site out, so if I write in a bunch of places, it's because I have no clue how to write to someone and have them get the message. I have not heard from David, so I don't know if he is going to be a Grad and Go. Guess I need to find this out....soon. We are staying at the Red "something" hotel, which is the closest to the camp. It is only a 4-5 hour drive for us, so we won't have to fly. I'm really getting nervous about seeing David. With everything going on in the world right now, it frightens me to think of what is in store for our kids.
Hi Valiegirl,
We are staying at the Ramada and have booked for three nights because we didn't know Zach would be a grad and go...so we don't know if we will leave early or not....we purchased refundable tickets just in case.....I am not frightened for Zachary be cause I have faith that he will be fine...he has A school yet to go through and being a Corp man he might get to work in a hospital etc... yes you never know but I have to believe my son will be fine....prayers help.....everyday I pray for his emotional, physical, spiritual and mental strength.....Keep the faith....they are strong boys and will do their best to keep themselves safe....
