Hey everyone!

I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

Susan,

Crap, I've been doing the same thing! I hope it doesn't prevent their letters from getting through.

Have you been including the 7105? I was originally but then when I saw it crossed out I stopped.. and now i'm confused lol
Yea. I included it on all of them even ones I sent out today.  I just noticed on her letter to me, it is crossed out and 3119 is in it's place.  I haven't had anything come back to me yet so I hope they go through. I'll feel awful if she doesn't get any letters.

I address my letters with zip code 60088-7105, like it was on the form letters.  I hope my husband is getting my letters!!!

The first letter i received from my husband, the return address was :

SR last name, first initial, middle initial

ship 02 USS Reuben James Div 925

3600 Ohio Street

Great Lakes IL 60088-7105

I guess USS Reuben James is their bunk name?

I'm sure it's fine... I just got paranoid. I hope that the few letters I wrote and did not include the 7105 will still be delivered alright?
I guess all we can do is wait to hear if they got them. I was talking to a relative that works for the post office and he said they should get them just fine. I think we're alright.
I haven't been putting 7105 and I sent letters out before I even got the form letter... my SR called yesterday also, for info, and she said she has been getting mail.. in fact one day it was 13 letters, she said they were sick of calling her name! LOL  When did you SR leave Susan?  I am sure he'll be getting them soon. :)
Jenn

Thanks Jenn,

He left on 3/7 but I did not get the address until last Monday. But as soon as I got the address I sent a bunch of letters out. I'm sure he will get them soon. I am in MA so it might take a while for mail to get to IL but it has been over a week now!!! I just felt bad because he seemed very sad on the phone. I'm sure they are all homesick....

Awww, Susan, I'm sure they are all super tired too. I read that the 3-4 weeks are the hardest on them, but by the 4th week they start feeling better.  Still, I know how hard it is to hear them sad and not be able to do anything to help.

I keep running to the mailbox everyday now checking for another letter.  We should be getting one tomorrow or thursday I think if they were able to write on sunday.  I'm so excited =)

Jenn, thats funny.  I've sent out a letter a day since my husband left as well.  I wonder how many he got at once!

I've sent one about every other day. And my parents, ex mother-in-law, and her brother and sister have sent letters too so I am sure she'll have plenty to keep her busy. I keep watching those boot camp videos on You Tube to try and follow what she might be going through at this point. It just makes me feel a little closer to her... :)

When I talked to my SR on Monday, she said she sent out letters on Sunday.. so I am pretty sure they got to write! :) YEA!!!

They just started BC on Monday, so this week and next will be tough ones!  Extra love, prayers and letters their way!
